Times are changing

I've been going to Kyoto Palace for years and have always loved the place. I used to get the all you can eat sushi. It was always around 22 bucks but at 11 bucks a roll it was a great bargain. I recently went and to my dismay they no longer have it and the rolls seem to be about 1 dollar more per roll. Poor Service-Over priced-average food

Had reservations and waited for 40 minutes to sit down. The hostesses were rude and not accomodating. Asked for the manger he could not care less and said we had only been there for 10 minutes (his girls said that)\r manger knew our table (13 people) were not happy ..so did he come over and say sorry or ask what he could do to improve our stay??? Ask for Dale

The general manager, Dale Yoshihara, has made the restaurant business his life work and it shows at Kyoto Palace. The staff is very accommodating, handling large groups or single tables with ease. The chefs put on quite a show, very entertaining. Food is top-notch.

Beware of Flying Objects at the Teppan Table

I went with my boyfriend for dinner and sat at the teppan table. All in all it was a fun experience as teppan cooking always is. I would recommend ordering the fried rice which costs a little extra, b/c the chef cooks it for you right at the table.
