Oral cancer claims one life every hour on average in the US alone, and of those diagnosed this year, only 50% will live an additional five years beyond diagnosis. Research conducted by the Oral Cancer Foundation suggests that the best way to decrease the number of deaths attributed to oral cancer is to diagnose and treat the disease in its earliest stages.
