Overall

We had this trash service for a year when we lived in Sanford. They did a good job, picked up TWICE a week (who does that?), were friendly to my kids (they would wave and honk the horn to make my toddler smile), and when I called I could usually talk to someone right away without a long wait time. They weren't big sticklers for "it has to fit in the container with the lid closed or we won't take it" like other big companies can be. I was pleased with their service and happy to support a small local company.

I'll admit I've never had a problem with this service as far as picking up the trash. It's a simple thing. But today the owner of the company cussed out and threatened to assault my adult son and his friend right in the street in front of our house. That's not what I call professional, especially for someone who makes his living providing a service to the public. My son has filed charges against him for making threats and there are four witnesses to the incident.

Service sux. So many times have they skipped me because they were too damn lazy to look at the front door to see the payment taped on the door....which was originally how they said to pay. NOW, the lady on the phone says "they aren't trained to do that". WHAT?! You get "trained" to see if the check is on the front door?? TOO MOVE YOUR FLIPPIN EYEBALLS TO THE FRONT DOOR JUST A FEW FEET FROM YOU!? Dumb.

Sporadic pick up times. Used Bill's Trash since the company started. It appears as though since the company has grown, they have neglected those of us that live on rural roads. They've failed to pick up our trash 3 times in the past 3 weeks. We pay for twice a week and they won't pick up for weeks at a time. Constant inability to contact office. Poor customer service and business ethic. Truly disappointed in this company after years of faithful service.

We have been with Bill's Trash Service for about three months now. I absolutely love it! They are a small business, so I take that into account when I call. I leave a message if need be, and they always call me back. I mean, what can be so pressing in the trash realm of life that you have to speak to a person RIGHT NOW? Better than our service with "the cumberland company". Twice a week pick up for the same amount of money? YES Please!

Billing is a bit quirky. We have ours set up on autopay and they have messed it up three or four times in 8 years... BUT for the price, it's a bargain. Trucks are professional and accommodating. I frankly do not know WHAT others are talking about when they say they won't pick up bags. I have never had trouble with odd stuff, outsized stuff, or heavy stuff.

Love the little guys :)

I have had this service since 2007. I have only had problems twice; both administrative. I had trouble getting ahold someone, then the lady (didn't get her name) was rude once. The collectors for my area are fantastic! They are friendly, professional and exceptionally helpful if I need it; all with a smile.

Overall

We've had this trash service since March, and they are the BEST trash service that we've ever had! They come twice a week to pick up our trash and we've never had a problem with their service at all! They even brought us a trash can to our front door when we first received service. They also do furniture pickup too. I am moving and will miss having this AMAZING service!

Save yourself the frustration of dealing with these people! They pick up the trash when they feel like it and their staff is rude when you ask them why they didn't pick up the trash. The guys that come to pick up the trash don't like to pick up any bags over 7 lbs! When I called the office the woman on the phone was yelling at me and I asked her to not yell at me because I wasn't yelling at her and she yelled back "I'm not yelling at you!" Then she said, "you know what, I'm canceling your subscription, we don't even need your business we got plenty of other customers!" I asked her to give me her name and she refused. I wanted to put this out there because I know I'm just one person, but I think I should matter and I don't deserve to be treated this way. I have never been late on payments and have always been courteous to them but they don't like to admit when they are wrong. Ended up taking the trash to the landfill myself. Hope this helps anyone establishing trash pick up service in Fayetteville, Cameron, Broadway, Sanford and Olivia, NC. Also, I think they go and post positive comments after they see comments like this so beware!
