I adopted a puppy on Friday, that had to be hospitalized on Tuesday and was euthanized Thursday. He was diagnosed with Parvo contracted while at the shelter. Parvo is a very contagious virus that can live years if not properly treated with bleach. When I contacted the facility the director seemed indifferent about what had occurred. This of course made me extremely angry so I even spoke with several of the board members of the facility. Suprisingly they were very rude and unprofessional. Their only answer is that they are understaffed and overrun with dogs that they can not run the facility properly.
