    Great Modern Hotel

    The University Park Hotel at MIT is an excellent choice for business travelers or those looking for a Boston hotel with character without being too old-fashioned. The lobby here is decorated wit h artificial intelligence robots from the neighboring Massachusetts Institute of Technology.     Nice little area

    My first hotel in MA and loving it till today. The location is really strategic near two subway station. You can go to central station or MIT station. Besides that, it is really close to MIT, it is like 2 minutes walk to MIT. The hotel is really nice, the people are friendly, they help me finding an apartment. They also have a free wifi in the room and in the lobby. You won't regret.

    Great Hotel!

    This is the perfect hotel to stay at when visiting MIT. The first thing you notice when you walk into this hotel are the giant gadgets in the lobby. You can play with a miniature roller coaster or goggle at the various other "toys." I found that the rooms were very comfortable and very new. There was a nice "techy" atmosphere throughout the rooms. Each room came with a complimentary issue of "Tech... read more Review" the magazine that is published by MIT. The rooms were very clean and very spacious as well. The colorful sheets added a burst of color to each room and the furniture in the rooms were very modern. This is a perfect place if you are a mom or dad visiting a son or daughter at MIT. The location is also very nice because it is located right down the street from MIT and very close to an assortment of restaurants as well as a supermarket which is right across the street.

    Very cool hotel

    This hotel is relatively new, expensive. There is a decor of scientific discovery in keeping with proximity to MIT. The wardrobes in the rooms, for example, feature circuitry on them.There is fun stuff to look at throughout. Kind of like a The Way Things Work book, but in a hotel.Large, airy ambiance. Large lobby. Friendly staff. Quiet rooms with rather industrial views of industrial Cambridge.Nerdy-hip.

    Wonderful rooms, good location, cute theme

    The first thing you should know about the Hotel@MIT is that it's right next to MIT. Well, almost - it's across the tracks (train) and halfway to downtown... read more as a grocery store (Star Market, a rebranded Shaw's), and having a decent view of the street, and offering acceptably cheap rates during things like MIT's Family Weekend.What the Hotel@MIT did not have when I visited was little maps at the front desk. This was disappointing because invariably when you walk around Cambridge and look like you know where you're going, somebody will ask you for directions.Another thing that our room did not have was a refrigerator. What do you do with half a cheesecake when you don't have a little refrigerator? In our case, we put it in a plastic bag and hung it out the window. (The windows do not open all the way, and they have little cranks.) I suspect we could have called the front desk and received better accommodation - but hey, it worked.
