Before choosing Bryerlane we w...

Before choosing Bryerlane we went to 3 other boarding facilities in Racine County. I read reviews for all of them.

Since all comments are over a year old I decided to add my comment.

We have a rescue dog, 15 months old and have left her with Family - didn't work out due to her anxiety. We explained all to Bryerlane and they assured us she would be fine. With blanket, stuffed animals and bone in tow she went willingly without any issues. He even called us 2 days later and stated she was doing Great!! We added the extra play time for activity. She came home like she never left us. Very Clean Pet Resort and Professional. Definitely will be back !!


Extremely rude

If I could rate lower than a one star I would. Please, I urge you, do not take your pet here! I was going to take our large breed dog to get groomed this morning. It was my first time there, upon walking in the door was not even greeted. I asked if there was any way he could be done before noon bc I think he might have a urinary tract infection and really need to get him into the vet that closes at noon. I get a laughing rude response of absolutely not for such a large dog. (Btw there are multiple dogs being dropped off at the same maybe he could have been done first). So I then said, ok then I think I have to cancel bc I really need to get him into the vet. And then the groomer, again in an extremely rude tone decides to say as he is walking out into another room "oh well I hope you know you are still responsible for paying for the visit!" I was so taken back by that. I couldn't believe how I was being treated...almost being yelled at bc my dog got sick. Not even caring to ask how he was or being understanding about the situation, especially for a brand new customer. Even had the audacity to later say...well it's not like he is in the hospital! I'm sorry that the vet is more important than the groomer. By then I was fed up. I was just mad and upset that any business owner could think that treating a customer like that is acceptable. Without thinking at that point I said Jesus chr*** are you kidding me, it's not like I wanted him to get sick. Which apparently they took as me swearing at them and proceded to be even more rude. I said I needed to call my husband bc I would rather pay then have to deal with their rudeness any longer, and there was no way I would ever trust them with the care of my dog. ( way would I have ever paid...they never rendered their service!) They said why don't you just go, you can cancel it without paying. So I left and as I was leaving, I got another "well happy thanksgiving" in a not so nice tone. Please learn from my mistake...GO. ELSEWHERE! Horrible business owners with horrible customer service. I hope the owners also read this and also learn from their mistakes. This is NO WAY to treat anyone! Run a better business...or close down if you can't bc I feel really bad for anyone that has to deal with you. And feel even worse for anyone that leaves a pet with you, I wonder what kind of treatment they receive. If you can't even be nice to their owners who can stand up for themselves, I can only imagine the type of treatment the pets get.


I will never take my dogs back...

I will never take my dogs back here! I have a 1 yr old English Bulldog that we boarded so that we can go to San Diego to see my son's graduation from boot camp. I called on Monday morning to let them know I was picking up on Tuesday. I spoke to Ken who was extremely rude and said "He finally went to the bathroom outside this morning." He asked me where our other puppy was and I told him that he was with friends and he said "Oh! And I guess they didn't want this one." He never said anything about a rate change (usually $20 a day). I went this morning to pick up. Ken said "I don't remember him being such a pig! He was crapping all over the place!" I told him that my dog goes to the bathroom immediately after eating and apologized for not giving him that instruction. He said, "NO! We tried everything! We even left him outside for 2 hours and he still crapped in his cage!" He took my debit card and swiped it and said over his shoulder, "And he is special care." I asked him what that meant to which he said, "An extra $10 a day." I told him he never told us about an extra cost. He said it was on the form we signed. I asked to see the form and Ken wrote in $30/day after it was signed. Ken told me, "why should you have to pay the same amount as someone with a good dog?" I told him that being a professional boarding facility, he should realize that there are times when he is going to have to deal with "crapping". I told him to give me my dog back and left in tears. Unbelievable!

Excels in Superior Boarding!

We were so pleased to have found Bryerlane and used them numerous times. Each time they were polite, caring and genuinely interested in our Boston Terrier. Hands down, Buddy looked forward to going to what we would call ""Spring Break"" of ""Camp.""

Years worth of return visits made us firm believes in the boarding care presented by Bryerlane.

They have cots which are great for aging dogs and are comfortable and clean. Arthritic dogs? No problem.

Ken and his team genuinely loved animals. They wouldn't be in business as long as they have been if they didn't. They have pride, integrity and gasp, keep regular hours and do have a cancellation policy. This kennel is in high demand and for people who want their pet to have a safe, clean and healthy experience while they are away. there is no other kennel that comes near the quality presented by Bryerlane. I also like that it is air conditioned and appropriately lite!

First rate pet resort

I only wish more businesses were run as well as Bryerlane. Our two Border Terriers love it as much as we do. We've used Bryerlane for over a dozen years, and scores of times, for overnighters and for multiple week stays. Very trustworthy.

Will NEVER take my dog there again!

We have just had an extremely unpleasant experience with this kennel. We found the staff to be unblievably rude and uncaring. When we dropped our dog off, we provided an extra blanket because he is thin (he is a greyhound) and also asked that he have a cot to lay on. When we picked him up, he had rub marks on his legs in many places, and it was obvious that he had been laying on the cement floor. We also had asked to have his nails trimmed while he was there, which they agreed to do for $15. When we were picking him up, Ken carried on about how thin our dog is and how long his nails were. Ken just didn't state this once, he kept repeating it, making it sound like our dog is neglected, which he definitely is not. Then when it came time to pay the bill, we thought the price was high and asked about the daily fee. The woman stated that ""it's $17 a day and has been for two years"", once again carrying on and on about it, and then slamming things around behind the counter, even after we said we just probably forgot that it was no longer $15 per day. We weren't refusing to pay or anything, we just wanted clarification of the daily fee. We will definitely never bring our dog back there, they were just too rude, and they obviously do not appreciate their customers.

Rude, and Scamfull

We reserved a kennel for Fri and Sat but had to cancel after their 3 day cancelation period. We told them we would be picking up our dog on Sun, but when we canceled they charged for being past their 3 day policy but also charged for Sun. In their pamphlet it states that there is no charge on day of pick up if done by a certain time which we would have done. They were very rude on the phone, and the gentleman that my husband spoke to when we reserverd it tried to say that he made it clear we were picking her up Sun nite which was not the case and we never said that. They wouldnt take off the extra charge for Sun. We have used them before and they have been rude. On a previous visit we brought blankets for our dogs to lay on which they approved but never even put them in the kennel so our 2 dogs, one being a large great dane with bad elbows, layed on a cement floor for 5 days. We will never bring our dogs back, there are plenty of other kennels to choose from, I have no doubt that we will find a better place that appreciates our business and will take better care of our dogs, and not try to scam us out of money. Being business owners ourselves, we would never dare to treat our customers this poorly.

Great Pet Resort!

Ken and staff have been excellent to work with. Our yellow lab is quite energetic and excitable. She also suffers from separation anxiety. The staff have worked well to form a bond with her and truly understand her needs. We never worry when we have to drop her off at Bryerlane as we know she is being well taken care of and she seems very comfortable there. We have tried 2 other places in the area, and she just did not do as well there. We make other arrangements anytime we travel, if we are unable to have her board at Bryerlane...that's how much we trust them!

Bryerlane Pet Resort is a wonderful, clean, caring place. My dogs love going there and are always well taken care of. I never worry when my pets are at Bryerlane. Ken and staff have gone above and beyond taking care of my pets.
