Each time we have visited Phoenix from Scotland we make a point of visiting a 5 and Diner as for us it encapsulates everything a foreign visitor expects of American food and service - the staff are loaded with personality and fun, the food is great and the portions are large. On our last trip the staff were superb with our twin boys who wanted to eat at the counter while we wanted to sit in the sun - nothing was too much trouble and the boys thought it was the highlight of their holiday. The only complaint was the "Big Boy"? burger was too high to bite into!!! Dont miss the onion rings or the shakes.
