Surprisingly Scrumptious and Fresh

My partner brought home a fantastic meal from this restaurant one day. He usually brings home really gross, flavorless organic food that sounds a lot better than it tastes. The meal from Le Pain was one of the best I've had in a while...a delicious, complex tasting goat cheese and nut arugula salad with a strong vinagrette dressing, a fresh made sandwich with homemade bread, fresh sliced ham and cheese, (gasp!) a fresh tomato, and some home made mustard that really brought everything together. Then we had a chocolate bomb that was spectacular. Usually with desserts you see in a bakery case, they look great and taste awful. This was melt in your mouth heaven. We fought over it! I can't say much about the ambience there, but the food (for those of you who do takeout) was top notch. Lots of restaurants have the pretense in their menus, but the food doesn't live up to it. They really made an effort with this meal to put their money where my mouth is!
