I have to admit, I have flaws, as we all do, but in the endless pursuit of perfection, we all attempt to be flawless - at least in our complexion. This has been my goal since my first pimple in middle school and more recently, the bevy of freckles on my face, which I attempt to masque as cute (not sun damage).
I went to Dermalounge on a friend's recommendation and was thoroughly impressed with the atmosphere and the knowledge of the staff. They were so approachable and gave me a cool skin analysis that actually counted the number of wrinkles (48 fine lines, not bad) and the amount of UV damage (right in the middle). I was hooked. I had to do something.
First stop - relaxing facial with Jess. It was perfect. It actually lasted for over an hour (vs. all those other places that start the clock the second you get in the door) and was the right mix of extractions and a hand and foot massage.
Then I tried an IPL treatment. In a nutshell, it's a laser that reverses sun and acne damage. In only one treatment (they recommend 5), my dark brown moles/freckles were coming up like coffee grounds and my skin was pretty darn close to flawless.
Not bad....I'm working on it. I would definitely recommend Dermalounge to friends. They're nice, pampering and professional. Way better than any spa or doctor I've been to.
