Great care in a clean, modern office with caring, professional staff. We have two cats who have received great care here. Most notable was Dr. Hetrick's help with a feral kitten that showed up at our door 2 days before a scheduled appointment for cat #1. She not only ensured that the feral cat was healthy, she gave us great tips for introducing the new cat into the home.

I have been going to Burien Veterinary Hospital for over 16 years. I live in Magnolia/Interbay and they are well worth the drive. They are friendly, caring and of course have excellent health care AND they are much more reasonably priced then anyplace in the Magnolia/Interbay area. When my dog of 16 years became ill they were so caring for my boy and me too. I was told by another vet they my boy only had a few weeks at the most, but with the care we received at Burien Veterinary Hospital he had 9 months of quality life. And when that sad day arrived the Dr and staff where so amazing. Through the years I looked into vets in my area but they were always more expensive and the care factor just wasn't there. When my boy became ill I tried once again to find a vet in my area for my convince but nothing had changed, everyone was almost twice the price and there just wasn't that feeling of really caring about what we were going through. I now have a new 4 legged baby and once again I drive to Burien for her care they are so worth it!!!

My first impression is an excellent one. They were the only vet that could give me a same-day appt, and I called multiple vets in the Burien area. Thee staff was professional and courteous. Dr. Whitty was friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this establishment.

You can go for a regular check-up. $90. OK. But then, ""we highly reccomend that you let us do this and that test, medication, etc, etc, etc. Next thing you know, your bill is $200!. If your dog has symptom of something common, they'll insist on various test, x-rays, ultra sounds, etc to test the top 15 things that could be the problem. Everyone of which cost a great deal. If they were experienced, they could at least diagnose down to the top two ailments, right?? I paid for a ton of test. They misdiagnosed it, and insisted that they were right. I took the x-rays and tests to two other vets in the area, and they disagreed with Burien Vet Hospital's diagnosis. These guys are realy vampires. Suck any cash they can right out of you through their vaugue reccomendations and scare tactics. Go somewhere else.

My family and I have been taking our dogs to Dr. Hetrich and Dr. Williams for years.
They are amazingly knowledgeable and patient. They assess the situation quickly and always notify in advance whether or not additional tests or procedures need to be done. To the best of my knowledge - there has never been a case when they over-prescribed, or assigned a procedure that was not necessary.
BTW, Dr. Williams is an amazing surgent - he, literally, pulled our dog from ""over the rainbow"" after another vet screwed up: it was a very complicated and ugly case, and I have nothing but best regard for the staff and for Dr. Williams in particular.
Our entire family and the whole dog pack is being treated there - some have more issues, some have none at all (except annual check-ups).
Many thanks to the team!
P.S. I'm shocked by a few comments in this chain. People, news flash - when an animal has a health problem, depending on the severity, it CAN get expensive. Don't you think that those that treat and care for your pet after going to school for many years (doctors, technicians, support staff) need to get paid? Get yourself a pet health insurance and do check-ups and shots as you are being told to do, and watch out for accidents to reduce the risk.

I spent thousands of dollars trying to diagnose some rather simple symptoms my dog was having. After many return trips and a general lack of concern for the amount of money their misdiagnosis was costing me (SUPER expensive meds, diet limitations that of course only they could supply, repeated examinations for the same symptoms that would cost me hundreds of dollars each return visit) I ended up wanting to try another Vet. and when I mentioned my dissatisfaction nobody really seemed surprised. They refused to give me his records and/or make copies of his records until I literally demanded them before I left. It breaks my heart to think they are in it for the money but they are a business and I feel like I was taken advantage of. It's not that I expected the services to be free but some willingness to help me avoid so many exam charges and marked up medications (literally less than half the price when I asked if I could pick them up next door at Walgreen) . One time they even gave me a small bag of kangaroo food for my dog to try and they sent me a bill in the mail without even telling me they were going to charge me in the first place let alone mentioning how much! Bottom Line, I would recommend finding a vet that cares and is willing to consider the animal and the owner in addition to just making money. ~Generally Disappointed

I took my dog there for a hernia surgery and they were very friendly and had good follow up calls with me. My dog had no issues and they answered all of my questions and concerns. The staff was really nice and caring. The prices are very reasonable and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.

I've been taking my pets to this clinic for about 15 years. I've never had anything but the best care from their vets and staff. As far as cost, I don't think they're unreasonable or have higher prices than other vets in the area. I've priced out things like neutering, teeth cleaning and have them on par with other vets. The clinic is always clean and I like the fact that there are seperate cat and dog enterances.
Eventhough I live in Auburn, I still take my dog and cats to this clinic. I trust their judgement!!!
