Maddening Customer Service!! NO Follow-Up!
I'm 53 years old. Former newspaper reporter. HUGE consumer. Doing a gut renovation of a condo in Sherman Oaks.
I've dealt with EVERY kind of person on the planet -- from celebrities to politicians to street thugs.... and of course, every type of contractor and service person out there. So when I tell you that NO ONE I have ever dealt with is as maddening and as disappointing as Ed the owner of Designer Door & WIndow, Trust Me.
I first called Ed five weeks ago to order 7 doors. FIVE WEEKS. Designer doors that would have cost $5K+. He wouldn't come out to measure my door frames unless I paid him for installation. Fine. But unless I called him, he never did any follow up. He'd lull me in his sotto voce into thinking everything was being taken care of, and FIVE WEEKS later -- and after a zillion phone conversations and emails -- he still hadn't come up with my request for hinges or door stops or a front door lock set, or prices to spray paint the doors, or a realistic solution to my door jamb problem.
He always promised to get back to me -- and then NOTHING. I always had to call him. We were no closer to ordering my doors today than we were FIVE WEEKS ago....
Finally, after hearing his excuses again today, I told him I was near tears, that I felt that all he'd been doing is Yes Ma'am-ing me. And his response was that ""I was right"" and that I needed to find someone who could better serve me...
Well, he's right about that. And YOU can find somebody better to serve you.
Really, the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
