Food was great, the wait staff was curtious and quick. It's nice to get out of San Antonio and this place is not too far but gives you that ""in the country feel"". We will definitly be returning. My only complaint is their wine selection, their lack of a good White Zinfandel.
We went to My Place because we heard about their fantastic burgers and chicken fried steak. It lived up to the hype because everything was great. The Guacamole Burger was awesome! It was fairly busy, but the waitress was sweet and took good care of us. They have a great patio too (which was being prepared for a party on the upcoming weekend). We did say hi to the owner on our way out, who we saw a few times up front throughout our visit. The waitress said he does a lot of the cooking and if he isn't, he's making sure the food is prepared correctly and consistently. He can keep doing what he's doing because it's absolutely worth going back.
What a horrible experience.
The owner seemed to only care about himself and not help the servers, who were running their behinds off! When our party spoke to the owner, he just said, "Well, I'm sorry you feel that way." REALLY??? The servers were slammed and the owner only helped two tables. He made sure that those tables had full glasses of water and tea, but the tables surrounding those could go with empty glasses until the servers showed up. If you are not a team player, how do you expect your servers to respect you?

Toasted buns for one thing! Totally comfortable environment. Relaxed! Anytime we go there are always police and fire folks eating there. So you know it has to be good! Great for kids, big menu for them, Beer, Wine, and Margaritas for you! Homemade mashed potatoes kick the pants off of fries everytime. Plus, they'll substitute veggies for your fries. LOVE it!
