Sunday evening my husband and I once again had dinner at this very fine establishment. What I want people to know is that the Chop House is a real dining experience. It really starts with the valet parking. The young man who parked our car was pleasant and very polite. As we entered the restaurant a lovely young receptionist greeted us and took our coats all with pleasant chatter and a smile. After being seated we had the pleasure of Curtis, the manager, welcoming us. Next was our server Chris who went above and beyond serving us. He not only was a great server, he also was very knowledgeable in regards to the history of the building. The wine and food is outstanding, but i wanted to let everyone know that the staff is just as outstanding as the food is. You must go at least one time and I am sure you will return.

This is my second time there, went with a small group of friends and it was excellent. 3 of us ordered the 8oz filet mignon and 1 person got salmon. My steak was truly the best steak I have ever eaten, it just simply melted in your mouth! We got a side of their mac & cheese and a side of their garlic mashed potatoes and they were amazing also. The wine the waiter suggested, I was drinking the white (we got a bottle of red and a bottle of white) was amazing ... creme brule' for dessert, cappucino's etc... amamzing! The atmosphere is perfect and the waiters are exceptional, we got a little out of control (blaming it on the wine) lol, so we made it fun for everyone !!
Had dinner there on five separate occasions and each time was as flawless as the last. Love having a drink at the bar before dinner (great wine list), and the waitstaff has always been friendly and courteous. The salad, appetizer and main course is served with enough time to enjoy without feeling rushed. And Russell himself has always said hello. I would say the trick is to dress as if you were dining out at a nice restaurant. I did see him turn a man away once for arriving in shorts and flipflops. Thank God! This is one of the few places left where you can get dressed up to enjoy a fine meal. I'm glad they keep it classy.
