I purchased a pair of 600 gram Insulated, Waterproof, Steel Toe Loggers from Smeth's in early November 2011. Now at the end of December the right boot is no longer waterproof and allows water in. I contacted the manufacturer and they said that the retailer is responsible for exchanges and refunds. I called Smeth's, they had me contact their store in NYC where I was told that it was not their ""problem"" the boots were faulty, then hung up. I contacted the manufacturer (again) and they stated that I needed an original sales receipt and a letter from Smeth's stating they are not willing to assist me in this matter. Now I am out $150 pair of work boots in the middle of Buffalo winter. I am extremely unsatisfied with the poor customer service shown and I would suggest if you do not want the same headache that I am having, you take your business elsewhere.
