4 of us went here before a preseason Mavs game. We order the Fajita Platter and hoped that we could share it, between two of us at $22 for the PLATTER. When we got the bill we were each charged a Split fee of $6 just for sharing. No second set up of guac and sour cream or anything, just a split fee. We didn't even get a second plate. Nowhere is it even mentioned that there will be this fee. There isn't one on Forest!! After that, we got our bills and noticed the fee. I tipped $5.50 on my $25 ticket, and then in a rush, couldn't find my "eaters" copy of my receipt to fill in. In a hurry they all grabbed their receipts and we headed out. 2 days later the charge cleared with a slightly higher charge of $8.50 for tip. I have contacted them and yet to hear anything back. I don't have a copy of my receipt, and I don't want a refund. I just want to make them aware that someone on their staff is stealing from some people at this restaurant. I would hope for higher morals and customer service in such a high end location. I have another friend who was over tipped about 3 weeks ago at the same location before a stars game. We thought it might be a fluke, but now it seems way to coincidental.

RJ Mexican Cuisine: Great Seafood - Steaks - Chicken - Ribs Dallas, TX Review Date: 08/27/2008 OH My Goodness... I wasn't really in the mood for Mexican Food when I walked in there but I kept an open mind and I was blown away. Starting with the hot and spicy salsa...it wasn't enough to drive me away from it but it was enough to make my nose run and want some water. It was delish! I order Tacos and they were wonderful. Although I expected to get a typical taco with meat, cheese, lettuce and so but it came out with just meat and cheese and I was surprised with how much flavor it boasted. It came with a side of refried beans (which I usually hate) but they were also wonderful, slightly creamier than normal but they drew in a wonderful garlic accent with some additional spices I couldn't put my toungue on. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff was wonderful and a delight, RJ even opened the door for us. Even though it was raining, they opened up the patio for us so we could have a drink out there and be able to smoke. I would definately revisit them and I would recommend it to anyone.
Today we were eating at our "favorite" downtown location of El Fenix and the "new" addition to the very loud music gave me a headache. This addition was completly unneeded the restaurant is a great meeting place for clients and for people to talk business and friends to visit. We have eaten at this location for over 50 years and brought our children up coming to El Fenix. The "new" owners really have made a mistake adding this music, it is hard to give the wait people an order even, let alone visit. The couple we were with today drove 90 miles to come to El Fenix and eat and visit. Visiting was out of the question. I told Elle that the music was terrible as we were leaving, she could barely hear me. Food was great as usual don't mess with it. Maybe play that music when no one is there only.
