Bearhunter Campground

This place is so good I want to keep it a secret. Owner and staff great. This is down home feeling and not a stuffy resort. Want to start spending summers here.

Enjoyed camping along the river so much we extended our vacation. The people we met during our stay were enjoyable. Restrooms and shower facilites were good. But as many campgrounds do Bear Hunter Campground offered long term for people living in their campers. On July 6, 2010, while walking my dog, I was attacked from behine by a known felon whose girlfriend and father were living at the campground. This was over a year ago, I still continue to receive medical attention resulting from this attack. I no longer am able to work with no means of income. The medical bills and collection notices from this attack continue to accumulate. No assistance from Bryson City Police Dept. No assistaqnce from NC Victims Assistance program! No attorney in NC wants to take on this case. Enjoy your stay at Bear Hunter Campground and Bryson City as this may never happen again, or maybe it will so stay in pairs and watch your back while in this tourist area.
