This is a great company to do business…

This is a great company to do business with. They were very helpful and so sweet and didn't mind taking the time to dress tables in the showroom so we could actually see what everything was going to look like before we committed to renting. Thank you Angelia!

It is a wonderful experience doing business with this company. Great selection of products with good prices and a friendly staff who is very helpful and worked with us to make our event a very special day! Thanks again Linda and Angelia, you guys are great! I will definitely be using you for our next event.

I had an extremely bad experience with…

I had an extremely bad experience with this company. I'm giving a one-star, but honestly, I wouldn't even give that much if I could go lower. I had to fire Angelia who also acted as my planner just a week-and-a-half before my wedding. She had not taken her job very seriously, and although she had supposedly been working on our wedding since July, she still did not even have flowers ordered. She continuously put off my concerns about this. The weekend before my wedding, she was to be in New Orleans. The weekend before that, she held another Junior Auxiliary party. She was unreachable at all for the couple of weeks before my wedding...except for a Wednesday morning, which is the busiest day I have at work each week, so I couldn’t meet with her then. I was incredibly lucky that my caterer in Little Rock saved my wedding. My caterer put me in touch with another florist in Little Rock who informed me that the florist that Angelia was waiting for had sold his business. If I had not fired her, I would not have had flowers. Simple as that.

On top of this, Angelia massively overcharged for her services, and she was incompetent, incredibly dishonest (she changed her hourly rate from $20 at the beginning of our association to $25 when questioned after she was fired), and acted completely unprofessional. She said she would check with our caterer early on and give us quotes from both Elegant Party Rentals and our caterer in Little Rock so that we could compare cost and choose. She didn't do this, and at the time, I took her word on the fact she was more reasonable. That was my mistake. After I fired her, my caterer replaced all the tables, table cloths, containers, place settings, etc., and the price was almost a thousand dollars less for the exact same thing.

On top of that, she was charging an additional $2,500 for organizing the wedding, which she still hadn't consulted me about a week-and-a-half before the wedding. She said, "It's all up to what you want to do." Well, the entire reason I hired a planner was to help me figure out what I was supposed to do, give me options, help me plan the thing. Not just say, "The sky's the limit." What kind of direction is that?

After we fired her, she gave us an invoice. Before that, she gave us an estimate. We paid her $2,856 about a month before to help with her out-of-pocket expenses (deposits on the band, candy, bubbles, etc). Apparently, she applied this to the rentals, because after we fired her, she wanted even more money (more than $1,500) to cover those out-of-pocket expenses. Well, we had no issues whatsoever with paying for those expenses, but we did have an issue paying her $2,456 that she did not earn ($2,856 minus about $400 for her time). She claimed that once we gave her the money initially, that our estimate turned into a non-refundable deposit. We were never informed of this, there was no paperwork that said such things, and so she pretty much walked away with all that money, leaving us high-and-dry.

There are other things she did, as well, but it gets more personal at this point, so there’s no use going into it. Just know that there are better options out there than Elegant Party Rentals. Granted, my better options came from Little Rock, as my wedding occurred there, but the folks I used there were all amazing, and I feel incredibly lucky to have had them help me out of some of this mess. I’m sure if this review is ever seen by her or her lackeys, I’ll get completely shredded by her gang here in town, but that’s also something else you need to be aware of when dealing with her.
