Burton's Total Pet

The staff is Dude and some have no idea what they are talking about. Also somethings are incredible over priced. Also some of they're animals are old and they will not tell you so. My sister purchased a hamster there which when taken to the vet found out it was old and at the end of it's life. The fish department also has a bad smell to it and I have been in there to see dead fish on the floor, that looked like it had been there a while. Ew! If you have any pet buying needs don't go there, there is a lovely let supplies plus right up the street that's clean with a very friendly staff.

I got a beautiful leopard gecko. He was considered blind but it turns out he isn't. He is just super lazy sometimes. He is also albino and makes him sensitive to the light. He has a cage mate as well and there inseparable. They have no problem with cuddling. I am so happy with the level of care they gave him before i adopted him. This is not your typical pet store. They truly care about there animals. I plan on bringing him back in to show the very wonderful lady who takes so much care for the reptiles!

They have a giant rabbit named "Ricky" and never take him out of the cage to get exercise. I am an animal lover, and I asked the woman working if he ever comes out and she said no. I think that is horrible to cage a big rabbit for two years and never take him out. Also, when I was there today he was sitting in his own feces and his water was all gross. I read online that in order for him to be healthy he should exercise everyday. Every time I leave that store, I am sick to my stomach. He looks so depressed and sad! I think that a pet store should be a model for taking care of pets, this is so sad!

they are wonderful i shop there all the time. i would not shop any where else when it comes to my pets. the staff is so great the managers are wounderful.they are so helpful and kind. if i could i would give them a 1000 star rating keep up the great work . ANYBODY THAT GIVES THEM A BAD RATING HAS ISSUES.

They have a wonderful selection of items but unfortunately some of their employees make this store a nightmare especailly if you special order anything. I special ordered a 40lb bag of dry dog food for $65. When I went to pick it up there was a line of customers, one register open, and the manager standing by a closed register starring into space. When a tall young man brought my bag out and slammed it to the gound from his shoulder pulverizing the contents, I mentioned that that was not good for the dog food. The manager woke up and very aggressively told me that "that bag has been slammed around like that 10,000 before it got there." She went on to say she knows how the dog food gets thrown around. "Have I ever been in a wharehouse?" and on and on. None of their other dog food bags were nearly as beat up as my specail order. Apparently, they are not well educated because I spoke with a dog food manufacturere and the food is not touched by human hands. The way the manufacturere sets the conveyors and pallet racking up ensures that the food is not crushed into dust---that only happens when Burton's employees get a hold of it. I will shop here if desperate but I will never special order from here again.
