Joe Spadafore: Allstate Insurance

canceled insurance and they keep sending me a bill that just says I owe money....I called and they say they covered me for an extra month that I didn't pay....If you do business with them make sure everything is in writing.

the people were nice, the coverage was thorough and well priced. what i didnt appreciate was that, regardless of me paying a full 6 month premium up front, allstate still called and mailed on numerous occasions attempting to enroll me in supplemental policies, such as roadside assistance and renters insurance. the offers were reasonable, but unsolicited non-the-less. on two occasions, they sent me misleading bills for the renters insurance, which i was automatically inrolled in when buying auto coverage. the bill said that i owed ~$11 on my policy when i had just paid it in full a month prior. i called the agent to get clarification, only to find out that the outstanding bill was only due if i wanted to keep the renters insurance with the auto policy. sure would have been nice if they clearly stated that on my bill to began with! i would not recommend allstate to a friend, unless they didnt mind the junk mail, confusing/misleading bills, and unsolicited phone calls.

Moved to West Virginia about 2 years ago and met Stan's staff first and then met Stan.They took care of my home and auto insurance with speed and courteousy. Stan explained everything in easy to understand detail. Great experience then and now as the customer experience continues.
