Primary Care
Most naturopathic physicians provide primary care and natural medicine through office-based, private practice. Many receive additional training in disciplines or modalities such as midwifery, acupuncture and Oriental medicine, homeopathy, psychotherapy, and Ayurvedic medicine to broaden the services they can offer their patients. An increasing trend is the establishment of associate practices and interdisciplinary integrated care clinics, bringing together the services of a diverse group of practitioners. Naturopathic diagnosis and therapeutics are supported by scientific research drawn from peer-reviewed journals from many disciplines, including naturopathic medicine, conventional medicine, European complementary medicine, clinical nutrition, phytotherapy, pharmacognosy, homeopathy, psychology and spirituality. Information technology and new concepts in clinical outcomes assessment are particularly well-suited to evaluating the effectiveness of naturopathic treatment protocols and are being used in research, both at naturopathic medical schools and in the offices of practicing physicians. Clinical research into natural therapies has become an increasingly important focus for naturopathic physicians.

We can accommodate adults and children over four years old. We are not an emergency facility so we ask that those with emergent conditions to use a hospital Emergency Department.

Michael Wong MD, is a physiatrist (fizz ee at’ trist) -a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Physiatrists treat a wide range of problems ranging from sore shoulders to spinal cord injuries. Physiatrists see patients in all age groups and treat problems that touch upon all the major systems in the body. Physiatrists treat acute and chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorders. Physiatrists treat serious disorders for patients with spinal cord injuries, cancer, and stroke or other neurological disorders such as brain injuries, amputations, and multiple sclerosis.

Michael Russo, D.C. is a graduate of the New York Chiropractic College. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Bridgeport. Dr. Russo has been practicing locally in Branford for the past 18 years. He specializes in the treatment of pain associated with musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. He is a member of the Connecticut Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association and the ACA Council of Sports Injury & Physical Fitness. He is certified by The National College of Chiropractic in Exercise and Rehabilitation Therapy. He employs a wide variety of time-proven, natural, non-invasive techniques to improve the health of his patients.
