The Tres Amigos fajitas were excellent. The chicken wasn't overcooked, the steak came out a perfect medium-rare, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp was delicious. They have an employee dedicated to making very light and tasty tortillas. Spicy salsa is available for the complimentary chips. The service was attentive and friendly. The building is still dated, but they've made a nice improvement on food and service since my last review.

Yummy

The queso dip and flour tortillas are to die for. Then we had the steak fajitas. Just awesome. Will be eating here again.

Best Tex-Mex in town! Their salsa is to die for and even though I am a regular customer, I always have a hard time deciding what to get because everything is so good! Huge portions, reasonable prices, especially their weekday lunch deal. The only bad thing I have to say is that I don't like to go on weekend nights because the roving mariachi band can get a little annoying when they are in your area of the restaurant although the music is nice from a distance. But when dining at lunch or on a weekday evening, it is great! My body literally gets a craving for this place!!

General Info
Tres Amigos Cantina: Mexican Kitchen and Bar was established in 2008 by three friends. Yes, you guessed it, that's why we're called Tres AmigosFormer location of Mexican-restaurant chain Don Pablos, Tres Amigos reopened in Februrary of 2008 after Don Pablos closed its doors on December 26th, 2007. The day after Christmas all the employees lost their jobs, and the community lost a great place to eat, drink and have a good time.Larry Fraioli, a real estate businessman from New York decided to help turn a bad situation into a good one, and worked with the 3 former managers ( Joe Morales, Anthony Mundi, Andrew Purdy ) of Don Pablos to create a new restaurant and reestablish a hub of great food and great people in the community. About 80 percent of the former staff regained their jobs and now we are serving better food, better drinks, and having a great time. We'd also like to mention that we couldn't have reopened without the help of the community. Many people from the Tampa Bay area used their time, money, and hard work to help us reopen. Thank you!
