PetSmart

I have an Austrian Shepherd/Chow who has problems with his hip. I was worrying about taking him there since he will snap at someone if they hurt his hip. When I picked him up he looked like a million dollars and seemed very happy to get all that hair off him. Will take him back as often as he needs to go.l

I called the Petsmart Grooming section of the store and set an appointment for a premium package for my Shih Tzu to be groomed. They told me that they had an appointment available for that day with Amanda (A newbie straight out of grooming school I was later told by the Assistant Store Manager Virginia. I took her into the Petsmart on Causeway and when I picked her up everything seemed all right. That next morning was when I started seeing some signs. My precious pup did not move like a quick bunny rabbit down the stairs for morning walk. She stood there and would not move; therefore, I carried her down the stairs because I thought she was just being honoree. When we got ready to go up she started stopping every 3 steps, I thought this is unlike her. So when we got in the house and I started taking off her raincoat she cried out when I touched her paw. I looked at it but I didn’t look underneath. Later on that day, I noticed she wouldn’t move at all just laying around. I picked her up and then looked underneath. I WAS APPAULD!! THIS GROOMER (AMANDA) had razor cut into ALL 4 of my Shih Tzu paw pads!!! Taking off half of one of the pads on her left paw. They were blood stained…red and I could not believe this could possibly happen at a (I thought) a reputable business like Petsmart. I immediately called Petsmart to speak with a manager, who NEVER would come to the phone. When I made it to Petsmart 8 minutes later, I found, Virginia (Assistant Store Manager) outside smoking a cigarette with the walkie-talkie blaring about a phone call. Needless to say, I will be calling an attorney about this matter because they refused to pay for my pup to go to the pet emergency room since Banfield was closed because of the 4th of July holiday! Only suggested a refund of the $43.00 and told me to put and buy Neosporin for her pads until their store manager came in the next day!!
