You've got to appreciate this place for what it is. A chill spot on the river to kick back and have some cheap drinks and greasy food. If you're looking for a NICE restaurant this is not the place to go. But if you're more interested in having a relaxed, low key night where you can wear shorts and flip flops to dinner this is a great spot. The loaded fries appetizer is sinfully delicious albeit pretty greasy. The burgers are good. The fish n chips are good. I'd stick to beer because their mixed drinks were not that great. Come with a group and you'll have fun. They even have volleyball you can play once you're feeling nice and light ;)
I guess I could call myself a "regular" since I bring my family and friends here all the time. I always used to be embarassed to say I frequent this bar when we would come in with the old owner's daughter working. She has horrible customer service, so thank goodness I know that's not how things always go! The new owner has been very personable with myself and my guests, and the bartenders that are still employed there have definitely stepped it up a notch to make up for the previous shortcomings. I love this bar and I always meet new people in here who feel the same. I think the new owner is doing a marvelous job.
We stopped in here between baseball games to grab a quick lunch. Our servers were prompt and friendly, which was nice because we were sorta everywhere and the kids kept coming in and out to go play on the volleyball courts. I ordered the new Buffalo chicken flatbread and it was tasty. The bread was so crisp and light. A tiny bit heavy on the blue cheese, but overall it hit the spot on my spicy cravings! The grouper bites smelled amazing and the kids ate everything! Great place to come have a beer and take in the views. We will be back!
