This is one of the most disgusting restaurants I think I've ever eaten at. I paid $13 for a mashed potato and bean chimichanga. Seems they forgot the rest of the food that was suppose to be in it (meat, rice, etc...). Didn't even eat it. I'm from the southwestern part of the country so I know good Mexican food. I don't think anyone up here actually knows what Mexican food is. Needless to say, I doubt I'll give anywhere else a try just based on how bad this place was. I can't remember a time I actually refused to eat my meal because of how nasty it was.

From Big Sky to Livingston, Santa Fe Red's is the only authentic "down home" traditional Mexican styled menu with a myriad of selections that in America we might call "comfort food." Different Regions of Mexico provide different style's of food. Santa Fe Red has a more "Mexico City" vibe with rich hearty sauces you might better relate to the Mediterranean. With this, I highly suggest going true New Mexican Style with any one of their hearty enchilada sauces, add a fried egg and large guacamole to any "wet" burrito, chimichanga or enchilada. The bar prices are aggressively cheap at Santa Fe Red's, so don't miss the Half Price Ladies Night on Thursday's or the All day and night happy hour on Friday & Saturday. The service is good, but the restaurant can get pounded...true sign of great food. With that, at times be understanding! But to be honest, in my 20 years of professional restaurant experience, even at its busiest I have seen Red's beat service times at most big city restaurants at a price you can't beat. I suggest an "Original Margarita" poured with Don Julio Blanco or my staple locally is a "Cold Smoke Draft" by Kettle House Brewery in Missoula. Try both Santa Fe Red's locations in Bozeman for different presentations to authentic Mexican food and fun!

Great Mexican food at a decent price. Not bad considering the fact they have ZERO Mexicans working there :-)

It's hard to believe this place is even here, tucked on the side of a dive motel on north 7th. Worth a serious look, great atmosphere, great mexican food, best halibut fish tacos in town, margaritas aren't bad either

Santa Fe Red's is quite good. They have many great Mexican selections, but if you are feeling a little like American they have an American menu selection too.
