Worried about a skin problem? At Big Sky Dermatology, we know how you feel. That’s why we perform total body skin exams to identify small problems before they become big problems. Our board-certified dermatologist has been trained to identify many skin diseases, skin discoloration and skin cancer including melanoma and basal cell carcinoma through direct observation. We can also identify psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and rosacea.
Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is a method of localized freezing dermatologists use to treat localized areas of abnormal or precancerous skin cells. During cryosurgery, we apply extreme cold to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue. We use cryosurgery to treat a number of diseases and disorders, especially skin tags, warts and actinic keratoses (also known as solar keratoses), which are rough, scaly growths on the skin. We typically use liquid nitrogen to freeze the tissues at the cellular level.
Emergency Care
Mara Limoncelli graduated from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York in 2010 with a combined Bachelors/Masters in Physician Assistant studies. She began her career working in urgent care but has specialized in dermatology over the last six years practicing in Portland, Oregon. Mara is board certified member of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and an affiliate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She and her husband relocated to Bozeman in 2022 and love to spend their time trail running, fishing and camping with their border collie.

Getting to know my patients over the years since opening my first office in May of 2009 has been my joy and privilege. The people in our community are truly unique, and I am proud to serve you. We have a wonderful team of people at Big Sky Dermatology designed to meet any dermatologic needs, including general dermatology issues like rashes or routine skin exams where our focus is on the earliest detection of skin cancers; skilled surgical management including Mohs surgery and excisions, and many Cosmetic options. I enjoy being involved in the creativity of selecting an approach to someone’s care that embodies the medical diagnosis, treatments available and every person’s unique needs and desires. For example, a skin cancer can involve Mohs surgery for complete margin control of a tumor and then the planning of a closure that will allow for the best surgical outcome for that person’s unique anatomy. Additionally, a person may need a more thorough workup or complete explanation of their diagnosis and treatment options in order to create a plan that will work for them. Aesthetics are very important, and we work hard to tailor our treatment plans taking into account any medical dermatologic needs while creating a personalized plan for whatever a person’s aesthetic goals might be. We all endeavor to give our patients an experience where they feel cared for, listened to and treated with respect. As a Montana native, I am so thrilled to be part of the Bozeman community.
