I have been there a couple of times during the day and it was nice, but...Dinner this evening was really bad and very disappointing. The soup was greasey, the clams in black bean sauce were sorely lacking black beans and the dish tasted like the wood in a camp fire. The second dish was General Tsao chicken. The chicken had no puff to it, no crunch. It was more like chicken marinated in sweet and sour sauce.
The service was poor. When the waiter asked how the meal was I told him it wasn't good. About the taste of the black bean dish he said it has a different taste from black beans. It certainly did!!! I've had wonderful black bean sauce in Chinatown, NY, it certainly did have a different taste...it was good!!! No additional input from the waiter.
In addition, I took the bill to the cashier. When I went to put the 15% tip (all it was worth if that) the waiter stepped in front of me and said I'll take that! That's it, I'll never go back.
A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. Bad Food, Bad Service and no one there seemed to care.
