The vet sent a lot of time with my dog and I was pleased. It was a complicated issue which I had went to another vet first and was very disappointed.

Very nice and professional staff. The doctor is very knowledgeable and consistent. Would go back again.

The review back in 2010 was true but now it's not the same place I have used this Vet a lot in the past. The staff was so caring and very helpful. I always seen this very nice lady when I came in which had been several times. In fact I thought she was the Vet for a long time until we where talking and she said the Vet wasn't in. I was shocked that she wasn't the Vet. She seemed very knowledgable . Then the next time I went in on an emergency I did see the Vet. He was not very professional to say the least he was talking to his nurse about the weekend and what all they had planned and I was sobbing so hard because my dog had just hit by a car. He told me that I would need to leave him for X-rays and he needed $500 up front. Well that's not something most people can just reach in their pockets and pull out so I ask him if I could pay when I came back and he said absolutely not! That they didn't do payments. I ask to speak to the nice lady that had been taking care of my baby in the past and he said that he got rid of his old staff and got a new one. I could tell because no one ever was nice and not helpful at all I ended up taking my baby to Bowdon Animal Clinic because I didn't have $ 500 at that very moment to pay Southland told be to take him and bring him back when I had money. Does that sound very caring to you. He really should have kept his old staff because if I had seen him and his new staff the first time that I came in I would not have come back time and time again to give him my money. I would not recommend this place at all!!!!!

The people at Southland Veterinary Services PC give veterinary services a wonderful new meaning!! They treat your animals as you yourself would, talking to them to help ease their stress with genuine compassion and concern. They take the time to learn your pets name, and address the animal by its name not as an 'it'. My first trip to their establishment my now ex- boyfriend's dog, Alphonze, had unfortunately broken a leg. The doctor petted him gently telling Alphonze everything he was going to do BEFORE he did it. He knew that though Alphonze was a dog he, as many animals, understood and by telling our beloved pet what to expect Alphonze responded by being calm like he knew the doctor genuinely wanted to help. As i said it was a broken leg so it was therefore unexpected and we didn't have the cash at the moment as well as the office was closed being it was Sunday mid-day. We called the emergency number posted on the door and the doctor rushed over as soon as we called, it helped that he lived right down the street! As well as they worked with us on payments so that Alphonze got the best care, the medications he needed, and Alphonze was excited to see the doctor for all his follow up visits! Wither it's just for basic care, a sick pet, or an emergency This place gets a 20 star rating from me and I highly recommend them for all of your Veterinary needs and questions!
