        Sad Little Taste of Italy

        This place is toted as a staple in Boulder...how sad. We were treated with no respect and my husbands dish (eggplant parmesan)was sent back because there was no way he was going to eat that stuff. The eggplant parmesan was soggy and gross, the chicken alfredo tasted like fish and the spinach alfredo pizza was a basil leaf infested piece of junk. The garlic bread was like a brick with salt and the appetizer (fried cheese sticks) was not worth what you paid..there was no way it even fed 4 people. The waitstaff was primarily snobby and acted as if we had the plague when we walked in. I guess if you have children, not dressed in your Sunday best and pocket not so full they just have no use for you.

        Fabulous food, possibly the best veal piccata I have ever had, outstanding service, amazing wine list. Every pasta combination ever dreamed Beautiful food with the attention to detail that only comes from a family restaurant. Bravo!

        Best Italian in Boulder

        I love Carelli's. My boyfriend and I have eaten here on several occasions (both on holidays and just because). Regardless of the time, our service was always superb. The atmosphere is wonderful with jazzy music playing in the background. As a vegetarian, I'm usually a little disappointed at how little there is on the menu that I can eat, but there were quite a few options. The Eggplant Parmesan is a real treat. I highly recommend this great restaurant.
