Overall

Their response was great! Very timely and very quick to do a showing. Our shower was very friendly and answered our questions. However, the office staff were either rude (one was nice, one was very judgmental) or hesitant and not straight-forward in performing basic job tasks such as telling me the price of my apartment. Not able to give an anywhere near accurate quote for the utilities. I was disappointed. Don't rent with them if you can afford not to.

Convenient

The apartment is reasonably well priced as you get what you pay for. For those attending the University of Colorado at Boulder, the location is excellent as it is a five minute walk to campus. The interior is clean and in general very bright.

BPM has been good

BPM has not given us any problems and helped with anything we asked them to. There has been no problem with rent either. recommend.

Overall
BPM Co.

I have been renting though this company for about 4 months and have had no problems so far. The apartment is great and was a great deal. They clearly keep up maintenance and I have no complaints. As far as a comparison between other companies in the area, I have had much worse experiences, but have probably not had any much better experiences. A great company to use overall.

BPMCO

Boulder Property Management is a great Management company here in Boulder. They are very professional. When a problem arises maintenance shows up in a timely manner. When you call with questions everyone is extremely friendly and very accommodating. However, they are much more businesslike around January and February when everyone is looking for housing for the next year. They are firm, but within good reason. Overall I have had a very positive experience with BPMCO. They have a very large selection of properties to choose from so their website is a great place to start when looking for housing in Boulder.

Overall
nice apartment, but not best service

I'm renting with Boulder property management this year and although are apartment is nice and close to campus, we have had a few problems. It took them along time to come and fix our locks that were broken when we first moved in and now are trying to charge us for it! It also seems to be quite expensive compared to other management companies I have heard about. Nothing is included in your rent, you have to pay for all other bills separately.

Overall
Satisfied, so far..

I had read a lot of negative reviews for BPM before we rented, but we really liked the unit so we decided to rent anyway and tread carefully to make sure we don't get screwed. Yes, BPM caters to students, so a lot of the properties aren't well-maintained. What do you expect, when frat-boys light couches on fire in their lawns? BPM is just trying to cover their asses, because renting to students IS a liability. Needless to say, if you act like an adult and treat them with professionalism and respect, I've got no reason to believe they wouldn't reciprocate.

So, on to the review..

The pros: Maintenance responds quickly, monthly statements are mailed out itemizing charges and they include a newsletter - a really nice touch, and BPM was accommodating to our move-in requests.

The cons: Coin laundry ($1 per load, when we already have to pay the water and electric to run the machines), shared utils are expensive (especially water), people leave their dog poop in the landscaping outside the apartment complex, and our apartment was barely cleaned before we moved in (besides the obvious vacuuming) - there was all sorts of crap in the heaters (cough drop, bottle cap, lots of hair and dust bunnies), walls were dirty, and under/behind the stove was disgusting (all sorts of filth including mouse poop!). This really pissed me off, because I scrubbed the hell out of my old apartment before I moved out, only to have to move in and do it over. I have to wonder if the old tenants were charged for cleaning... Also, a few months after moving in, our cat caught a mouse, which freaked us out, but BPM dealt with it immediately.

Overall, our apartment is pretty nice. The location is great, and the rent and utils are expensive in my opinion, but for Boulder we actually got a pretty good deal. We've only been renting a few months, but we haven't had any serious complaints yet. Now let's just see how much of our security deposit we get back...

Overall
the WORST boulder has to offer

I've rented in quite a few places and have found that landlords are always the most respectful people, but these are definitely the worst.

If you want to be made to feel that you're subhuman because you don't own property, go here.

If you want to be made to feel that you're a college student that doesn't know anything about leases or renting or responsibility just because you live in a college town, go here.

If you don't want to get your deposit back despite being responsible and clean, go here. (They'll charge you about half your deposit to clean the carpets regardless of how clean they are when you leave. They'll even charge you to change the locks--which should be part of their business expenses as a landlord--when you move out.)

If you want to deal with all maintenance issues on your own, go here! My lock on my front door doesn't work well, but they just leave notes saying they fixed it while it's obviously in the same condition it was before.

I could go on and on about what deadbeats they are, but it's probably not worth the time. They have a monopoly on many of the immediate surroundings of CU and will continue to attract young, unsuspecting, and otherwise desperate people.

Overall
Huge mistake,,,,stay away from B.P.M

Not only are these people rude, they are unprofessional.

I have had nothing but issues from Boulder Property Management. Their complete lack of professionalism is shocking.

I have asked four times for them to fix my fridge. It has been 4 months and nothing has been done.

When I moved I, the fire extinguishers were empty and the smoke alarms had no batteries. When I brought this to their attention, the response I got was, "I was put batteries in them yesterday." Clearly that didn't happen, I purchased my own batteries for them.

There has been mold on the shower caulking since I moved in. They have not fixed it yet.

My back door doesn't lock, this has not been fixed. I had to purchase a rod to use as a stopper so no one can break in.

At our property there is a strict no dog policy. One day the maintenance worker was here doing something totally different than what I requested to be done and he brought his dog. Though I love dogs, it was unprofessional for him to do this.

For as much as I(I am writing this note on behalf of my roommates too) pay, for these issues to have not been resolved it absurd. I wish anyone that plans on dealing with Boulder Property in the future, good luck. I wish I had done my homework before choosing B.P.M.

God forbid anyone at BPM does their job and take care of the issues I have asked.

I could go on for days about this company, if you are going to take one thing away from my rant, it should be; STAY AWAY FROM BPM.

Nice Apartments Near CU

I rented a studio apartment at the Colorado Place Apartments near CU through Boulder Property Management for the two years I was in graduate school. I enjoyed the apartment very much as it was a nice space for myself and it was very close to campus which was perfect for me. The rent was a little pricey but it is Boulder we're talking about. The rent included utilities which was nice from a budgeting stand point but as someone who tries to be eco-friendly and conserve resources I wonder if I wasn't paying for the excess of my neighbors.

I never had any need to contact BPM during my stay at the apartment since everything was well taken care of. The washers and driers on the property weren't the greatest and had some issues so I usually went to a laundry mat unless I was in dire need of cleaning something.

My only complaint was at move out and the amount of money that was withheld from my security deposit. I lived in the unit for 2 years and I maintained it as best I could so I was surprised to see the amount of money they decided to withhold. I contacted them by email about the issues that I had with the amount they withheld. I did receive a quick response and about half of the contested charges back because they stated that the unit was not in perfect condition. I got the money back that I did because they said that I was a great tenant. I am fairly satisfied with how this was resolved and very impressed with the response time.

I would consider checking out other BPM properties in the future if I need a new place to stay in Boulder (we'll see how the job hunt goes) and I would recommend it to others if you are on top of taking care of the unit and pay a lot of attention to cleaning when you move out.

Not Very Nice People

I had a bad flood in my place twice in a utility outlet, maintenance came and said the pipes are really old and they always leak, the maintenance man said he keeps telling them to get it fixed. After the third time i moved . I have a two year old baby that got sick the hospital says they think it was mold. i called Boulder Property Management and they do not have any report of maintenance coming to the house. I subleased my place until the lease was over which was not even 4 months. It took about 2 months so 1800 dollars. . BPM says they didn't pay the last 3 months and wants 2700 back owed rent and about 700 late charges for the place i subleased plus late charges, without knowing they where behind. I went to talk to them they wont show me any papers or let me talk to the subleased tenant, they told me that if i want to see the proof take them to court and to leave now and don't come back of they are calling the cops. if they didn't pay there rent why not just show me on piece of paper why kick me out unless they are lying. AND MY HEAT DOES NOT WORK RIGHT would get as low as 55 and they dont care they will not reply or send maintenance

Just wanted to let you know. Frank

Stay away from Boulder Property Management aka BPM

The heat hasn't worked in 2 days and they won't do anything. It's 10 degrees outside! I've had several other issues that I've had to pay for out of pocket because they simply won't respond. Email is always out of the question. Never had 1 response to a problem. Phone usually doesn't work. These people are seriously nuts. I hate Boulder Property Management aka bpm
