Will go above and beyond for a customer

I find the selection and the service to be very good here. Today they went above and beyond. A tailor (Jordans the Tailor on Newbury Street) ruined two brand pieces I bought and wouldn't fix them.\r \r I went to Saks distraught. Their tailor looked at the items and agreed they were poorly done. They agreed to fix them complimentary. That's above and beyond.

Incompetent management and staff

Ordered a evening dress 3 weeks before a dance ball. The staff forgot to place the order for a week and only realized the dress had arrived when I went to the store to ask what the situation was. Alteration was ordered a week before with priority service. They failed to finish it on time and only told me so when I went to the store to pick it up on the date of the ball. Have sent a letter of complaint to the management but they have not even replied to me after 3 weeks. They have charged me for all the cost and have not even informed me what had happened to the dress. Go to the NY store. The staff and management in the 2nd floor is completely incompetent. I will go to Neiman Marcus in the same mall complex from now.

A pretty good Saks

this is one of my favorite saks. its not as crowded as the one in NY, and yet, there is a pretty good collection. the cosmetic section is really good, and the associates are really nice. i think that the men's department was better before the renovation, but it's still good anyways.
