Success! Thanks for posting your review of O Ya. You’ve done the world some good today.

Best sushi I've ever had

Yes, it is expensive. REALLY expensive. But it's worth it. If you're going to splurge on sushi, splurge on the best, and O Ya has it. Our waitress was amazing. When she learned we liked sake she brought us some different kinds on the house so we could pick what we liked. And we got to meet Tiffani from Top Chef! Everything is melt in your mouth. I want to go back and try omakase.

Beautiful and delicious food

Fabulous menu! The venison was divine! Everything is created so beautifully that I almost (*almost*) did not want to eat; I had to admire the beauty of each plate as each dish came out. Must order: sea bass, foie gras, venison, and the mini omelet with truffle oil. Also, our server helped us pick just the perfect sake. We had a wonderful meal. We sat at the chef's counter, which at first I wasn't sure if we'd l... view more

expensive and unfriendly

went to check out restaurant after booking party for 14 people. \r
the wait staff was extremely rude and pretentious the greeting at the door was just rude. Haven't had this experience before w/ a boston restaurant. sushi bar was empty and after a bill of 120. 00 for appetisers, we decided never to return/ and will cxl. our party for later this month.\r
p.s. bring a seeing eye dog... no lighting in entrance or foy

Have tried to make a reservation at this restaurant several times, both times i believe I spoke to the same woman and she was extremely rude. I am from New York City and know the difference between a ""wanna be"" restaurant and a restaurant that can pull that off. O-ya: stop trying to be something you are not, customers are key- always keep that in mind.

Truly an experience--Not to be missed if you are in Boston

Went to O Ya on a weeknight but still couldn't get a reservation before the last seating (9:30PM). Had the Omakase service and must say it was better than expected (and I had high expectations). The sushi were inventive and flavorful, the presentation were gorgeous and the staff and sushi chefs were friendly. I honestly couldn't recite most of the dishes that I had without referencing the menu, as each dish offered m... view more

quick appetizer before dinner at another resteraunt

Complete waste of $. We spent $200 and left hungry! Would only go there for a quick appetizer before heading to another place to eat dinner.

Sick and tired of eating the same sushi? Like to try new and innovative ways of making sushi? Well, look no further, come down to O Ya where the sushi is oh so fresh and oh so delicious. The presentation is so beautiful, it's almost looking at a piece of artwork at the museum of fine arts. The foie gras sushi with balsamic chocolate kabayaki is a must try! Don't forget to try the chu toro with cilantro pesto and Peru... view more

Innovative, Pricey sushi

O Ya is an exceptional restaurant, both in quality of food served and in price. A pair of maguro goes for $9, so it's hard to eat a filling meal here for under $100 a person. But, oh, the innovation! Although the sushi can be prepared "traditionally", it normally comes in unique combinations; the maguro nigiri is actually torch-seared, and comes with soy-marinated garlic and microgreens. Fabulous meal, but it doe... view more

looooved it

Completely amazing place -- O Ya totally lives up to its reputation. The food was jawdropping. The chef/owners are incredibly hands-on and make the most gracious hosts, and our server was awesome, too. One of the best dining experiences we've ever had.
