Explorica s mission is to provide teachers and students with educational tours. The company provides a variety of tours to Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, South Pacific, United States and Canada that create once-in-a-lifetime experiences, showing students that foreign language, history, literature, arts, science and a number of other subjects do not have to stay in the classroom. Educational tours provide an introduction to the culture, language and heritage of other countries and cities. Educational tour operators provide student groups with sightseeing tours, knowledgeable guides and active tour itineraries to ensure that students get as much as possible from their trips. The operator will also take care of all the practical arrangements of a trip, such as flights, hotels, meals and all transportation during the tour so teachers can concentrate on their students. Explorica is headquartered in Boston.

They have NO care for children's safety. My daughter was scheduled to go earlier than the tour (with a relative) and then meet the tour. Explorica made the return flight for her to be entirely alone and separate from her tour group, who will leave without her, leaving her alone in a foreign country where she cannot speak the language. Why couldn't she travel home with her group? Her flight alone will arrive so late that she had no flights home from New York. She must be alone in NYC all night. Would you leave your child alone that way? There is no excuse for this! I tried to contact them, pleading with them to change this, and they never got back to me. Very poor company who only cares about making money. DON'T GO! Your child's life is at risk.
