Worst Pizza in Boston! I was so disgusting my dog would not even eat it. Very rude employees and they over-charged us and refused to refund our money. I will never go back.

We order pizza and sandwiches from Dacoopas all the time. The food is great and I would reccomend it to anyone!

I have to say I am pretty new at ordering take out in east boston with my new job but I have to say dacoopas has the most professional employees and the by far the fastest delivery service from what i have experienced in the short time i have been ordering from places all around the city. The cheeseburger subs are to die for and the chicken finger subs rock. I havent tried the pizza nor calzones yet but I bet if the subs are great then the pizza must be right up there. Whenever my colleagues ask around about who to order from I always tell them Dacoopas. I have to give this place an A+.

Just ate their today for the first time. The manager Scott asked to if I mind waiting a couple of minutes for a couple of just out of the oven slices. The pizza was well worth the wait. Scott and the guys behind the counter were super C@@L.. The sauce was the topper, it must be homemade...Thanks guys for the company and the great food...

Horriblew food. I had a slice of pizza it was basically just a can of tomato juice and raw bread....no taste whatsoever. They make Dominos seem #1. Besides the horrible service the delievery driver had a horrible stench of grass. Whats up with that? During working hours.

The food and atmosphere has been great for all the years I have been going there but when I picked up my usual steak sub on Saturday night (3-21) The environment was totally unacceptable and unprofessional. I placed my usual order and while i was in there it was nothing but chaos (yelling and screaming) and I felt very uncomfortable. There was a balding guy working and a younger guy and while I was waiting for my sub the younger of the 2 was standing at the door with the door wide open having a smoke and when i asked if he can close the door because it was really cold his reaction was ""its hot in here"". When I finally got my sub I took 2 bites out of it and threw it away. I hate to do this but for a long time customer this shop has lost my business. There needs to be some serious improvement (especially on saturday nights) where it can be a professional business as it has been for the last 25 plus years.

Salads are fresh, Pizza is cooked up to order and subs are fresh and tasty. The restaurant is very clean and modern. If you are a person who likes to chew and screw this is the place to go. If you are in a hurry though i'd recommend somplace elsewhere. Hardly ever there are slices where its always a 10 minute wait (but they are fresh and tasty if you have the time to wait) Other times the staff can be unattentive or on their cell phones not acknowledging there are customers waiting but besides that I can say the portions are reasonable and the pizza is tasty (especially the margarita).

I have to agree with the users beloe.. The Pizza is excellent, the staff is friendly, and the drivers are very prompt, For a place thats just a corner store I have to give a good rating. The calzones are out of this world

I just want to say I agree with Nelson Brewster. I got food delivered Friday night also and the driver was very handsome.

I have been in the restauraunt business for 25 years and have frequented Dacoopas for over 2 decades since the prior owners and have always been served quality food and treated with respect which is hard to find nowadays in the food industry. To see a comment about being short changed, I personally feel that it is a load of bologna. First of all if I were to be short changed I would call the place back immediately to let them know there was a miscommunication in the adding due to errors that can be made on really busy days/nights and get the persons name that i spoke to. Second of all of the phone calls are monitered for quality assurance and all the information including the orders and addresses are stored on the computer systems. For a place that has been in business since 1969 and seeing the same employees working there for over a decade I kind of find it hard to believe that people would still be working there if they were ""ripping people off"". Third.. with the economy the way it is there are always people trying to flim flam to try to get something for free. Personally my experiences at dacoopas for over 2 decades has been very prompt, the food is always fresh and served to order and it is always the same friendly staff who treat you not only as a guest but as a VIP. Can't let people leaving ""Bogus"" reviews ruin the image of a place who has not only been in business for over 40 years but was also voted best pizza 2 years in a row. Sorry to babble but I am just stating a strong opinion. Keep up the great work and the great food =)

I got a food order from Dacoopas delivered last night ,12/26, and was very shocked. I do not have any complaints about the food but do have a complaint about the delivery driver. When my food order had arrived I heard the knock on the door and sent my son, who is 12 by the way, to answer the door because I do not get around very well. My order total was only about $9 and I had given my son $20 and told him how much of a tip to give the driver. I had heard the driver say thank you and when my son came back there was NO CHANGE! I had asked my son how much the driver gave him back and he said nothing. I could not believe that the driver would take advantage of a youngster and assume he was getting a tip that substantial. I had called the store to complain and they told me that they would talk to the driver about the situation. I have not heard back from the driver so I assume he knows what he did. Dacoopas has a great reputation but it is a shame they have such a shady delivery driver.

Pizza is great same ingredients for over 20 yrs and like the old menu used to say ""piping hot delicious pizzas"" but the subs have gone downhill (especially the cold ones) kinda reminds me of SUBWAY subs paper thin cold cuts and it feels like a bread sandwich. I dont mean to knock but the veal subs also went downhill (well very downhill) considering now using veal patties and charging for real veal. But to make a long story short the pizzas are very pricey buy hey i guess you get what you pay for but the subs need a lil more filling but thats my opinion but just a suggestion.

I really don't think they deserve the ""best"". Pizza sauce is not seasoned at all. They put so much corn starch on the dough that it makes it seem thats all your eating. They are sure quick to raise those prices because of the ""gas"" inflation....but gas gone down but there prices haven't. It seems they care more about the business part than actually improving on their specialties

number 1 ....the pizza sauce doesnt need to be seasoned becuase they dont buy @##$ products that need to have the flavor of the tomato suace masked to hide the poor quality product......number 2... its not corn starch .........its corn meal.....number 3......prices that go up usually stay up ........look at your local movie theater, supermarket ...etc......etc etc............number 4......every company that is in business is there to make money .......not to just break even and pay the bills.............that is why those people in there work so many hours..................SO GO GET A JOB...........NOTHING COMES WITHOUT EFFORT............from a loyal customer sticking up for those guys..........Bruce Miller...................

I have to say nothing on the menu has changed and almost none of the staff has changed. When it comes down to whether its Scott, Rick, Joe, Mark, or Steve the service is great and has been for the last 15 yrs. I just moved back after being away on business for 10 years and it feels like i never left and I have to say Dacoopas has a dedicated and loyal staff and are always prompt and attentive. I guess I know why it has won best pizza of Boston for the last 2 yrs in a row and have a feeling it will stay reigning champ. Anyways the thing that would make the business perfect is if slices were prepared when you walk in. The last few times i had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for slices but they were fresh so its almost worth the wait. Keep up the great work and the great food.

I have been a loyal customer since the early 80's before the business turned over and have always been a fan of the pizza which hasnt changed at all in the last 25 years. With that being the case I come in usually twice to 3 times a week either after a long day of work or after my kids hockey games. My only complaint is that it can be a very uncomfortable atmosphere at times for instance which maybe a coincidece but the last 2 times i came in for a steak sub and cheese slices for the kids which took 10 minutes because there were no slices available so as we were waiting I couldnt help but overhear the ""F"" bomb dropped at least 3 to 5 times by the help behind the counter and the talk of getting high on specific substances. In my opinion I feel that is very unprofessional and not good for a kid to hear because they tend to repeat what they hear. The second time I come in there was nobody behing the counter and after approximately 3 minutes I finally was acknowledged and it looked like a cloud of cigarette smoke in the back which i thought in the back of the shop and as I was waiting I witnessed the ""F"" bomb dropped again as the help slammed the phone down. Just wanted to pass by the way business is conducted needs some improvement in order to stay successful as it has for the past 30 so on years and for those with kids I'd recommend leaving them in the car..
