I recently moved here and used to work at a Plato's Closet before moving. Needless to say, I had a pleasing experience here, very cheap clothing, staff was friendly, and although the store does need to be updated, it's a little crowded as well but they seem to be doing the best with what they have. They also helped me find out a super cute outfit for a date I had that night which was a success because I have another date tonight with the same guy! As for the other reviews, most are speaking about an unpleasant experience with selling clothes. What they don't realize is as a franchise and resale store, that is the point... to RESELL. They can't take any clothing sometimes due to inventory, sometimes due to other things such as the odor, spots, and holes. Most of the things that people named with tags that they can't take, I know at the store I worked at, didn't sell well. Banana Republic, Limited, brands like that are nice brands but let's not forget that it is, after all, a teen/young adult clothing store and those brands aim for a more mature, professional look. As for clothes in the store being seen with some holes and such, not all buyers are the same. There are a variety of buyers who buy different things and they may miss seeing a spot or hole, after all, they're only human. It's not like they have special goggles they wear to detect every problem with the clothing. They also have to be picky because if they buy stuff that doesn't sell, it's on them. Also, they have to be super picky because they have to obviously make more money selling than they do giving out to people from buying. It's how the store operates and stays standing. If they were buying more than they were selling, the store couldn't operate. It's just them simply doing their job, I say this because most people don't understand what the employees have to look for. They go through a buy guide and cannot buy anything that has been out in the stores longer than a year to a year and a half and are trained to be able to tell by the labels, etc. Also, some clothing has date stamps on the tags saying what year it came out. I hope this review helps everyone to better understand why they're unable to take certain clothing.
