As a Harvard-trained psychologist, I expected excellent treatment from Dr. Rice, and I have certainly been pleased with how he chooses to work with me. Not everyone will form an effective alliance with every particular practitioner, but for me, Dr. Rice's approach and demeanor is very comfortable and also very effective. I sought his assistance with issues that impacted my ability to function in daily life and he has really been effective in guiding me through self-reflection and in helping me learn how to confront negative thinking and disproportionate self-criticism. While the choice of whose help to seek is deeply personal, I have found Dr. Rice to be extremely effective, very professional, and very determined to assist me in achieving my goals.

Dr. Rice has been a very patient and understanding psychologist. I have appreciated the outside reading suggestions and follow up discussions. I didn't realize that it was possible to take charge of your health and well-being through hypnosis. Both the hypnosis sessions and the cognitive behavior therapy have been very helpful. Thank you Dr. Rice for sharing many useful tools and skills.

Living Hope Clinic offered the healing I was seeking through a Christ centered foundation, focus and spirit. I feel very blessed and thankful to have been in such good care. Very professional.The patient billing seemed a little screwy as I received upto 3 statements in a month that did not necessarily reflect payments made. Perhaps that is their normal. I on the other hand am used to receiving a monthly statement that reflects a more accurate accounting within a thirty day period.

My experience with Dr. Rice was unfortunately not a positive one. He really gave his best for the first couple of sessions and that's how I got sold into continuing with him, but then he started sort of slacking off. Despite all of his credentials, he doesn't seem to have that something that makes a good therapist. In my case, he would jump to conclusions fast without really trying to understand what I meant, he would make remarks that made me feel belittled and therefore unwilling to "bare my soul" anymore. My last visit with him was truly horrible; without going into details I"ll say that I left his office in a state of panic that took me 2 good weeks to recover from. Please, stay away.

Four years ago I was looking for a Christian based Psychologist to help me deal with my DID here in Idaho. Dr Rice has been able to effectively help me continue to integrate my personalities and have them work together. He has also been able to help me get the two sides of my brain working together which my former Psychologist gave up hope of achieving. I recognize that Dr. Rice will not work well with every patient having had experiences with psychologist and psychiatrist that I was not able to work with because of personality conflict and or having a working method that did no meet my needs.I am very happy to have Dr Rice because he has brought excellent in site into how I can improve my mental health.

I have been seeing Dr. Rice for severa months. I have been very happy with his help, and his help in making me become more adapt at handling my affairs. I intend to continue my therapy through one day a week, and reading self-help books he has recommended, including Addictive Thinking and Love is Never Enough.

Dr Rice at the Living Hope Clinic has been more than a doctor to me. He is a friend. He treats me with the care that one would give a daughter. I have had other doctors over the years because of my chonic condition, but Dr. Rice has done the most for me. I like having a Dr. who is kind but who has an authoritative demeanor. He has confidence in what he knows and passes that feeling on to the patient. You can succeed with Dr. Rice's gentle guidance and encouragement. I have had ups and downs in life and at my job, but Dr Rice has been my supporter all the way, he really does care. I cant recommend him strongly enough.

My experience with Dr. Rice was outright awful. His methods were ineffective and dated, he didn't listen to what I had to say, instead he would jump to conclusions and put words into my mouth. On a couple of occasions he even made some rude comments that sounded more like an insult. The last time I had a "pleasure" to see him, I left his office in a state of panic. Please, stay way.
