Expertise

It's an older facility, but they take REALLY good care of our dogs there. Have been going for years, and have never had a problem.

Overall

We have been taking our Havanese to Jasmine for over a year to be bathed and groomed. I couldn't be happier with the "summer" cut and the "winter" cut that she has developed for that particular breed of dog. Our dog is always done within a reasonable amount of time, and she has never been sent home wet. Jasmine came recommended to us from friends that have been using her for their Maltese for years. I would pass the recommendation on to anyone looking for a good dog groomer.

If I could give Gem Crest groo...

If I could give Gem Crest grooming 1/2 a star, I would. They were recommended by a friend as a place that does cat grooming. I was looking for a place closer to my house. Dropped my long-haired cat off, asked the groomer to shave the back leg area (aka "pants" area) because the cat has some diarrhea issues. We were charged $65 (my bad, I neglected to ask, thinking it would be around the same $35 I usually pay), and my husband brought home a cat with a wet tummy and legs, and the fur still on her "pants" area. We ended up cutting the fur off with small scissors. The wet tummy area is bound to mat up on a long-haired cat, which you think a groomer would know. The person at the kennels said the groomer said that the cat would have had to stay all day to dry (so? guess she wanted to go home), but I've never been given a wet cat back from a groomer, particularly after I've paid such an exorbitant fee.
