- Addison Mizner, a painter, woodcarver, miner, interior decorator, prizefighter, writer and architect, came to south Florida and was commissioned to build what is now known as the Addison building. It housed Mizner s apartment, real estate office and small restaurant, today known as the Addison. The location is known as one of the landmark meeting places in Boca Raton, Fla. It offers a variety of settings including a wine room and clubroom for intimate dinner parties, luncheons or special meetings as well as a ballroom to host wedding receptions and large soirees. Its menu offers seafood, salad, steaks and chops and vegetables. The Addison also provides catering services.
