Yamatani Japanese Restaurant

Excellent Sushi Bar led by the owner Robi. Very social and informative. Great experience and I'll definitely be back.

We use yelp often when traveling and usually find a gem. This particular restaurant was just a few steps from our hotel. I was curious to visit it due to the one negative review. Walked it and were greeted with a warm smile. We had the Boat which consisted of a sample of chicken, beef, pork, and vegetable tempura. The tempura was perfect not greasy and the constency of the veg were perfectly adente. This particular dish was too much for two but now we have leftovers for our road trip. Thanks Yelp!

After reading the one and only review for this restaurant, I was bit hesitant to try it, but the manager at the hotel I was staying at recommend it, so I figured what the heck. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. That tall lanky dark haird lady who was wearing glasses was there, greeted me immediately and sat me down. She, as well as the rest of the staff were nothing but pleasant, personable and very attentive. I travel the entire US and have tried many Japanese Restaurants over the years, but the sushi served was some of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend trying this place if you you are in town, I know I will be back when I pass through again.

I entered the restaurant. I was greeted by a Long dark haired, lanky, middle aged woman with glasses. She looked at me for a moment, then looked away and began reading something at the counter. I waited for about five minutes and noticed she was not busy doing something important so I kindy said, "excuse me". She did not look up! Again, I said excuse me? Then she replied..."I ALREADY SAID. "WHAT!" I replied..."sorry I did not hear you" She said, " I"M LOOKING RIGHT AT YOU AREN'T I?" I answered.....I guess you aren't very good at reading lips then......GOODBYE...!!!
