Great Escape!

We went here last year on Thursday, July 16th. This is Glamping so keep that in mind. The fog had rolled in and it was a bit chilly. They had a Sushi Bar that was outside on deck and they were serving ice cold Asian Beer to go along with your selection. It was AWESOME! I heard that the dinner was delicious that they served inside of the lodge but we were full after the Sushi. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. We were in Yurt #8 had it been a clear day I suppose we would have had a beautiful view of the ocean but as it was we were fogged in both that evening and morning. Bathroom was cleaned... granted I chose to take a shower at 2:00am in the morning :) I went in earlier (during dinner) and the line for the showers was long and people are rather... interesting in public showers not mindful of hair of other personal hygiene peeves to be left behind for the next showering person (sigh) so going at 2:00am was just perfect since housekeeping must have come in at 11:00pm to clean up for the night. So the Elephant Seals can be heard all night long that was about the only consistent noise we heard they drowned out the waves in fact. Relatively quiet location aside from the seals. We went to sleep at 7:30pm hence the 2:00am shower LOL and barely heard much noise at all while people were moving around during normal hours. I would recommend this location again as a romantic getaway or a place for friends to bond without distractions. BTW the breakfast was so-so... but keep in mind I am a Director of Catering and my expectations on food are pretty high. Respectfully Reviewed
