Vegetarian Tasting Menu is a must

    Provided by

My vegetarian bandit and I needed a good 10pm dinner and Tagine was referred by some writer friends. Great energy from the host at the door, check your ego there while your at it. My friend pretty much does away with menus and intrust the server to do their job. Note, when a male server is older with silver hair, a non-american accent, and a smile on his face you're in for a good night! (this has happened to me at numerous eateries) Our 1st course felt like a good salad I can make, but the rest of the courses transported us to Morocco. Worth every dime. Great place to get your creative stimulus senses flowing.

    So Delicious

the food was amazing! full of well-balanced, unique flavours.

the best chopped cucumber and tomato salad i've ever had.

    perfectly cooked lamb.

and even though i was full by the time I got the risotto..I couldn't stop eating it.

    the staff were lovely, too.

please never take that salad off the menu!

    Wonderful, attentive and imaginative

    Provided by

Had the tasting menu with some friends last weekend, and it was fabulous. I have a gluten intolerance, and it can be difficult to find a restaurant that understands this dietary restriction. We called ahead and were told it would be no problem. The chef made me special alternatives for each of the courses with gluten-containing ingredients. No small feat in a pre-set 8 course meal! My friends also loved everything they were served. I was full by the fifth course but kept eating anyway! The space was small, intimate, and comfortable, a great place to go with good friends. I highly recommend it to anyone.

    Best dining experience ever!!!

    Provided by

From beginning to end, it was a blast. My girlfriend and I were greeted warmly by Chef Ben, who we found out later is the owner of the establishment. He made us feel so welcome, as if we were his friends from long ago. I noticed he treated everyone he interacted with the same way, between trips to his kitchen. Two servers took great care of us. Both of us ordered Ben's Tasting menu. We were treated to so many wonderful things. Butternut squash soup, striped bass, lamb chop, shrimp w/ a fantastic sauce, honey lamb and my favorite-bastilla and more. It was several delightful small courses that left us perfectly sated. We finished our bottle of pinot noir, which was a perfect temperature. Just a little cooler than room temp, as it should be. A little baklava for dessert w/ the most delicious mint tea I've ever tasted. As we walked out the door, Chef Ben hugged and kissed us both. It was truly a wonderful evening. I thank Ben and his staff from the bottom of my heart and can't wait to go back.

    Tasting Menu does not work

    Provided by

I ignored the one bad review on this site and went this weekend. Got in without a reservation but was very disappointed. Was told it was a tasting menu, and no one told us the price (which turned out to be about $35/person). My Pinot Noir was served ice-cold. I told them, but they didn't seem to be very concerned. This place is great if you are on a no-carb diet - no bread and only 1 tablespoon(!) of couscous was served. While the food was good, the tasting menu just leaves you hungry for more of the dishes that you enjoyed. I was offered more couscous because they could see how disappointed I was by only a meager tablespoon. \r Please don't go here for your first Moroccan food experience. Dar Magreb or Moun of Tunis is much better and more traditional. I went to Tagine once, years ago, and it was much better then.

    Dont waste your time

We went on a Friday night . they had a set menu for $39 and they said that this was a special because it is going to be more next week\r There was nothing moroccan in this dinner. Guaccamole( very Mexican), a few other small dishes . we asked them to make sure there will be a couscous dish; it was'nt even planned . The desserts were 5 one inch baclava for 5 people . My son went for a burger after dinner and we settled for a snack at home . We paid more than $ 100 for two and we left hungry and frustrated . The only positive: the service was polite

    shhhHHHH!

Greatest place ever. Don't tell anyone, it's already too crowded. Last time I sat next to Cameron Diaz and JT and they were bragging that they had discovered it. I think the in-crowd were here for a while, now it's my haunt. Keep it to yourself.

    sexy and cool

    Provided by

This is still a bit of a secluded place even though they got a big write-up in the LA times. It feels like you are far away from LA, the atmosphere is sexy, the food is great and everyone seems nice and very cool. Ben the chef stopped by our table with a little extra course that he served to us personally, this place is the best.
