Michigan Property Managers

Michigan Property Managers have no regards for their tenants. Their main concern seems only to be the profit they make. If you have a problem within the home you are renting from them do not even bother to make a request for repair. No matter how small or big the problem bottom line- they DO NOT care.

In order to communicate with this company you must either call or set up an account on their website that allows you to email through an online tenant portal. Meaning you will not be emailing using your personal email address. So ALL communication with this company can not be kept for your OWN personal documentation. I have sent many important email's through the online tenant portal expressing in detail repeated concerns on several different issues, some of which legally had to be addressed. Months later still no action had been taken and all the email's I had sent through the online tenant portal PROVING that I as a tenant maintained my responsibilities had been DELETED.

This company has been known to rent homes through owners with no rental license. They have rented homes with no Certificate of Occupancy. They have even rented homes that Cities have permitted them not to rent due to violations. If you care about the welfare, safety and health of yourself or your family DO NOT RENT from this company.

DO NOT use them. They are unprofessional and negligent. Their communication is a joke and when you do talk to someone it is clear they are completely unorganized and incompetent. Their lawyer is ridiculous and lied directly to me several times. Record your conversations and communicate everything in writing if you do make the mistake of working with them.

Warning: DO NOT LEASE WITH THIS COMPANY!!! The staff is beyond unprofessional and extremely rude. Kept receiving bills after my lease was over. Wanted to charge me for 1 stain on the carpet that I installed into the condo!

Be aware of MPM. I signed up for a two year lease and after the first year i kept receiving emails stating that i owe late fees because the landlord changed her mind and wants a one year lease even though we had an agreement. I called the office to discuss my lease and also that i was having issues with Ants. When i finally had a chance to talk to this lady by the name of Angela which was so rude and i was told i'm only allowed to talk to her on her TERMS AND HUNG UP ON ME. She refuses to listen to what i have to say so now i have to hire a lawyer because they violated their own lease.

This company is a joke. I would like to warn people about this company with their lack of expertise, people and customer service skills. I called this company about three times to get initial help and information about a house I was interested in leasing, after playing phone tag, I finally received a phone call back advising me to fill out an application, I did what was I was told and received an email late morning about sending documents to them. After the documents were sent I received a call from Alana lied to me over the phone telling me the house had been already leased. Yet the house was still listed on the net. When I inquired about other prospective homes for rent I was simply told to look on the internet. No assistance, no NADA! I was just dismissed and had to deal with someone rude and nasty, which is the last thing someone needs when they are dealing with a stressor like moving.No one bothered to try to give me any other options. The horrible customer service is mind boggling to me considering they are renting homes which belong to their clients and should be trying to find good prospective tenants for them. At this rate, I see why they have so many listings available and I will spread it by mouth how unprofessional they are............

Michigan Property Managers are terrible and no one should rent through them. They do not care about the tenants and you will have to call them repeatedly to get any maintenance done to the place. We ended our lease early due to this problem because a heat vent was never installed in the bathroom, and not having one does not meet the building code. We called them on multiple occasions about the heat vent.



Dealing with JARED is a joke, he barely ever returns your phone calls. Within our first month of living there we had to have the building inspector come out and inspect because there was a lot of stuff not up to code i.e breaker box was hooked up poorly, wires in attic was a rats nest, hot water tank was located in a bedroom closet (which by the way was leaking gas the first day we moved in).



Also BEWARE of bogus "repair charges" and also so called "utility reimbursements", they will do anything to keep your security deposit. We now are in the process of taking them to court due to these bogus repair charges that are over $400. I do Not recommend MPM to anyone looking to rent a house, look elsewhere.

If you are considering renting from MPM, continue looking. This is the worst property manager I have ever worked with. THEY WILL ENTER YOUR HOME WITHOUT NOTICE! They should be on the news with an investigator knocking on their door. They make tenants feel unsafe and uncomfortable. HORRIBLE! STAY AWAY!

I have had very poor experience with this company as a landlord. They arranged for very few showings and I felt did their job poorly, did not display initiative at all in suggesting what could be done better with the property; and after I decided to end the contract and go with another company instead, they turned very nasty and held the property hostage on MLS for a month, not for any gain, but out of pure spite. Very unprofessional and not recommended.
