        replace parts you dont need

        my furnace would intermittently stop working so called for a service call. i had followed troubleshooting guide on panel to determine it was either a bad spark ignitor or a control board. next step was to test voltage of the ignitor. service technician didnt follow the troubleshooting steps, neglecting to test voltage. he replaced ignitor and furnace still did not work. had to order a board and come back. new board fixed issue but was charged for ignitor that i didnt need. of course when you call them out on it theres no solution offered
