So far all of our dealings with Audition Division Ltd have been positive. Unlike other companies we have dealt with, the "screen test" appeared to be legitimate. Instead of just asking my daughter to read a few quick lines and then rushing onto the next child, they spent 10-15 minutes asking her questions. They asked her say and do various things to get a real feel for her personality as well as how she looks and acts on camera. They emphasize that they specialize in commercials/movies rather than just print ads so this is not a company whose main goal is to sell you photography services. My daughter is in the pre-teen category and had to do a demo DVD as well as have photos taken for the Composite cards. I have family in the advertising business and the price they offer to do this service in-house is less than 1 hour of studio time from any reputable photographer/production studio. Sure - my daughter would love to get called for an audition but as they point out, it is a competitive business. There are never any guarantees of an actual job with Audition Division or any other agency. All in all, everyone I dealt with was professional and worked great with children/pre-teens. There was never a hard sell either - the only requirement for a child that passed their initial audition, and wants to continue with this agency, was to have the comp cards/demo DVD done within a certain time frame and you could have those done wherever you choose. They aren't exclusive either as you are welcome to take your composites to any other agency that you choose.

As the owner and manager of ADL my goal is to have satisfied customers. I've seen here recently 2 very unhappy Mom's. For 40 years our kids have auditioned and been placed in National advertising, motion pictures, and commercials. The composites and demo DVD's have always been useful in getting kids looked at by people in advertising before they go in person. Every parent is told if the child is accepted, they can buy the comp cards anywhere they want. No one is forced to buy our pictures. Most people are very happy with the pictures and like the way the director works with kids on the videos. Our prices are way below anywhere else. I show samples of our comps to parents before they register, so they know what they look like. If someone wants a re-shoot, we will gladly do that for them at no charge. We want the customer happy. I don't understand how someone wouldn't call us if they hated the outside of the building, the inside of the building, the interview, hated the pictures, the video. Why not call us? We want to make it right for you. By the way, the agency you say doesn't exist recently got our kids auditions for Walmart, American Lung Association, the new hit show on NBC "Chicago Fire", a network pilot, and a major picture. Our kids do get opportunities, but no agency can guarantee being picked.
I am a producer that has worked with Audition Division for over 20 years. This is a hard business to get into and at times parents get a bit "stagedoor" wanting their kids to be no 1 in everything they do.ADL has been around for 40 years..licensed by the State and a member in good standing with the BBB.If a child is auditioned ..and accepted the Agent has a meeting with parents and explaines everything. They tell the parents before the testing that composites are needed if child passes.ADL offers (at times) to do work if parents do not know where to get them ,or have connections.THE PARENTS HAVE THE OPTION TO GET THEM ANYWHERE THEY WANT. The contract states they do not guarantee placement. If a parent is not happy with pics they will redo if asked. As far as Tyler mgmt....She was a top agent for the Geddes Agency and when Geddes closed the Chicago office to go to LA she took over accounts....so nothing has changed as far as placements.BTW they also GIVE the artwork of composites to parents so they can multilist with other Agencies if they choose. Not one Agency in Chicago does that! I think what they do is great for kids!
