Caritas Kids' Cottage

We've taken our one year old son here for 9 months now, and we love the daycare! My son is always happy and smiling when I pick him up, well fed, and loves to see his "friends" (the teachers) everyday! We've seen some turnover in a few staff members recently, but luckily our favorite lady is still there! There is a bit of a language barrier if you don't speak Spanish. This isn't a problem for us, because we can always find someone to translate, and we can tell how much the teachers love our child!

This is an awesome daycare! I have three children in their care from 1 year to 4 years old. They truly have the best care of the children in mind. Great activities - field trips, fall festival, fourth of July party with cotton candy and bounce houses etc. Best bargain in the Omaha area!

I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. There are a lot of concerns. My wife and i had a bad experience with our children. Be sure to ask questions and talk to the owner. Unfortunately, I know other parents that have also had a similar experience.

I highly recommend this daycare/preschool without any hesitation or reservations. I have two children there and they cry when it is time to go home. My children have been with the same teachers for a whole year. The teachers truly care for the children as if they were their own. All of their workers are CPR certified and have exceeded all state standards for in-service classes - I got this straight from the Assistant Director and the teachers in my children's classrooms. At least 80% or their workers have been there for 2 plus years.

So i went in with a friend to pick up some paperwork regarding their child's daycare expenses and my friend was confronted by the owner and three other daycare staff/teachers. I literally saw how they attacked and harassed my friend due to a review that was written on here. The other three teachers yelled and confronted my friend over a review that is allowed to be posted. They're just mad that my friend wrote the truth. My friend is not a disgruntled parent that was kicked out for non-payment, as they claim is the case for every negative review. The owner and staff have No right to confront people as they did over an honest review. They were extremely unprofessional. It seems like the "teachers/staff" were more concerned about confronting a parent over a review than taking care of the kids! As you can see, even more reason to say away from this so-called daycare. You can make your own judgment but this is just what i had experienced with my friend.

Worst daycare in the area! I pulled my children out of here due to several concerns. Not every parent who writes a bad review has been kicked out. Some of us just want to make other parents aware of the bad service, especially when it comes to our children. Visit and see the daycare yourself. I would advise you to stop by without an appointment to see what it's really like. I hope you have a better an experience than me. Good luck!

I have been to 5 previous daycare,in the Bellevue area none even close to the service provided here.They have large open classrooms ,more than enough equipment to entertain the children and for Christmas they brought in Santa,dancers,Christmas carolers ,decorated cupcakes and got a whole new set of playground equipment for the gym!!I love this day care and the staff.some parents posting on here probably don't follow that saying do unto others as you'd have done to you,because they're mad they got booted out...they got to turn it around like they did no wrong.

Bad service, bad daycare. Period. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the owner becomes vindictive if you bring up any issues. The place is not clean and the meals are not healthy. Anne C is probably an employee who is writing the review or received a discount. But if you want your children to lack care and attention, then take them to Caritas.

Another great week at Caritas!

I don't know where I or my daughter would be without this tremendous childcare facility.

Teachers are great, facility is great, food is great, and the care provided is great!

Anne G, K S, and Angeldoll with their sour comments below are probably disgruntled ex-clients. Some people can never be pleased. The only way to evaluate a center is to visit itself yourself. At least at Caritas the children are not sat in front of a television all day like at many other centers.

This place deserves 0 stars. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. Please, please, please think twice before taking your children here. My daughter was here only for a few months. First off, she was given the wrong amount of formula. My daughter uses a different kind of formula that has a different quantity per ounce. We explained this to them from the start but my daughter was given watered down formula for who knows how long until we figured it out. She lost weight, wasn't eating/sleeping. The owner/director is rude and is not open to discussing any concerns. She seems very nice at first and sells you on the daycare fast. But I agree with the previous reviewer, she is 100% deceitful and a liar! They give the kids cheap food and she acts like she all about a healthy/organic lifestyle..not when it comes to her business! My daughter got sick from the food. But what made us leave the daycare was the fact that she developed a SEVERE diaper rash. So bad that we had to take her to the doctor and she was on antibiotics! My daughter NEVER had a diaper rash in her life until she came to this daycare. And they tried to blame us for the rash. Yea right! We talked to them but they were not willing to offer any kind of compensation for this. In fact, we had to pay a termination for leaving even though we were leaving for these reasons. Unbelievable. The staff and assistant director are nice but the turnover among their staff is high. They claim the infants are on a 1:4 ratio (1 adult for 4 babies) but that is not the case. I've seen about 12 children in the infants room with only 2 teachers several times. The children are just not given the attention they need. The owner is all about the $$. Please stay away from this place.

• I have a baby in the infant room and the 4 workers in that room are fabulous. Atmosphere is warm and wonderful - singing, reading books, and sensory activities. My baby receives the best care, fed well, always desitined to ensure no rash. My baby is happy and that is all I care about.

I recommend this center to anyone who wants the best care for their baby.

The owner/director has zero accountability. Lies lies and more lies. If that's something you're ok with then by all means, try it out. I have personally witnessed children in the restroom alone, boy and a girl, by themselves with their pants around their ankles. Without a teacher present. And there is a language barrier with some of the staff if you do not speak Spanish. They will question every single thing about your child and make you feel inadequate. I highly recommend you consider taking your children elsewhere!

Awesome place to enroll your children. Serious teachers and director who truly care about your child's physical, emotional and mental development. My children never want to leave at the end of the day. Truly a 5 star daycare - I wouldn't go anywhere else!
