Hey Joe N- I am not an employee of Shipman Auto Repair but I can certainly tell you I observed what all they did for you and your vehicle. Not only did they trouble shoot your vehicle for HOURS and HOURS and did NOT charge you for that - it was a mess from what the mechanics stated. They gave you world class customer service and straightened up the terrible mess that someone left. You should be very happy about what they did for you and it cost you only a fraction of what they should have charged you. The dealership would have charged you four times what they did! Shipman Auto Repair is owned and operated by first class business people with only Master Mechanics. I have seen all types of customers with vehicles from old Mustangs, classic trucks, old and new GM, Cadillacs and imports including Hummers! They work alongside NAPA and other reputable vendors and stand behind their work and products. One customer in particular had their AC repaired at an out of state repair shop and only a few months later the same compressor went out and it would have cost thousands to repair!! Michael Shipman worked diligently with NAPA and not only found out the part was warrantied but did not even charge labor to install because NAPA stood behind the parts and labor!! NO ONE would have done that. I have trusted them for both of my vehicles and have seen more people come in there that I have personally referred to them and they would not go ANYWHERE else. They are THE BEST and Joe - you should remove your post. That is not true and they were much too generous and professional for you. Carolyn W
I was referred to Shipman Auto from another establishment and was told to speak initially with Ruth as she was very down to earth and makes you feel comfortable. On my way there I was not only frustrated, but skeptical, mainly because I'am a woman and I have been taken advantage of in the past, that I thought this experience was going to be more of the same. I couldn't of been more wrong and I'm so glad I was. Upon arrival, Ruth immediately realized that I was the referral, stopped what she was doing shooke my hand, introduced herself and immediately put me at ease. After telling her what problems I was having, I was introduced to Michael and he looked at my car thoroughly came back and told me his findings and the rest is history. As crazy as this may sound, I look forward to having Mike work on my car becasue that means I get to visit with Ruth and watch her's and Mike's professionalism and down to earth demeanor first hand. They truly are family to me and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you Ruth and Mike.
Best service in the country! We followed Roger Sain, service advisor, to this dealership. Stopped by to say hello one day and walked out with our new Infinity (our 3rd or 4th). We love the new features, especially that it will stop when backing out of a parking space if another car is too close. Our first service on this car was March 31st. Wonderful experience! I expected to schedule an appointment in a few days. Was told to bring it right in and it would only take an hour. It was done in less than an hour and delivered sparkling clean. We own 2 other cars, a Smart that is "serviced" by Mercedes and a luxury car that is put on a truck and taken 5 hours away. Service with these dealerships doesn't hold a candle to Infinity of Orange Park. I know it is a team effort, but I have to give applause to Roger Sain. Good service is like a glow that surrounds him. He makes our day EVERY time. Makes us look forward to servicing our car. (Never thought I'd write that in a review.)
