I like this Albertson's. Their staff is friendly and they have good sales. However, you better pay close attention to the screen when they scan your groceries. I bought 10 items this morning, 6 on sale and 4 regular price. The machine charged the correct amount for 3 of 6 sale items. It rang up my 3 bags of chips at $2.99 each ($2.97 too much). I told the checker the sign said $2.00 each if you buy 3 bags. Instead of asking for a price check, she asked if I wanted them anyway at the higher price. I said "no" (because I didn't want to wait for a price check). She then asked a young man to return the bags to the shelf. I asked him to check the price while he was there. He came back and confirmed they are $2.00 if you buy 3. She totaled my bill without the chips, sticking to her $2.99 each assessment. I asked her if she could get a manager to override the machine and so she did ask somebody who came and fixed the price. The machine also did not ring up the Owen's Sausage (2 for 1) or flour tortillas (2 for 1). Had I not been watching, my bill would have been $50 instead of $38.50, or $11.50 (30%) too high.
Use the meat market at the Albertson's on Airport Freeway in Bedford. There's a cute young lady there that just tries her best to make the customer happy. I've seen her deal with a frustrating customer and she never lost her cool.
Proa: One of the only grocery stores open when I get off work at 5am. They do a good job on cakes. Cons: expensive. You usually have to wait in line longer than you would have to at any other place have UK
