Who would have thought that such a hip place with such awesome pizza would be inside a mall?! We went several times and just to try different "specialty gourmet" pizzas such as the YinYang (fresh spinach, glazed walnuts, gorgonzola cheese, olive oil) and the Ezzo Pizzo (two kinds of pepperoni and peppered salami with mozzarella). The pizzas are baked in a traditional hearth oven (not a conveyor oven like other places) and the quality shows. Service can be spotty but its not a fine dining restaurant. The bar is cool and the live acoustic music was great (not too loud or overwhelming). The place is a little difficult to find as its tucked in the corner of the mall near Sears. But they have an outside entrance and a nice outdoor patio area. This is a locally-owned establishment (the owner actually grew up in Beavercreek) but the design, presentation, and commitment to quality reflect like a well-managed corporate restaurant.
My husband and I scour the Miami Valley for high quality, specialty pizza. Spinoza's is BY FAR our overall favorite! We love the pizza and salads (especially Baruch's and Drunken Goat salads), and my husband love sampling the craft beers. We drive from Springfield about 2-3 times per month for Spinozas. Try the whole wheat crust with pepperoni - wow! You won't be disappointed.
Great food, service, and atmosphere. The sheet pizza is huge and packed with toppings. I Highly recommend the taco or veggy pizza!
