i had an allergic reaction to eye drops script for conjuctivitis...pink eye....and my eye was swollen shut. My current eye dr was booked up and going to the ER was the last resort... i knew this place you could walk in before 3. although i was there for 3 1/2 hours... it was well worth it. yes its very over crowed and a bit disorganized (i think that mostly to maybe high turn around i was here like 4 years ago and the ladies didnt seem to know where or how and even who... same thing this time) BUT if you have an eye emergency and unable to get to your norm eye dr this is the place to go. also... i opt out not to get eye insurance this year so with visit... dilation...twice..plus three more diff drops... the visit was only 70 bucks... I dont recomend this place as your primary eye dr....if your wanting to squeeze in an appt on your lunch break... this is not the place.. but if your having an eye emergency i highly recommend... oh i wanted to mention about the eye mart thats next door... take your script and go somewhere else... same thing... extremely busy... theres ton of diff places to go to get better and nicer frames... so five stars only b/c i had an eye emergency and was taken care of the same day... so all good in my book
I moved back to the Beaumont area 5 years ago. Soon thereafter my daughter recommended that I schedule an appointment with her doctor, Dr. Carey Fracht, for my regular eye exam. I am now 57 years old and have had a life long eye condition that has required me to wear corrective lenses since I was three. I have been examined by numerous Optometrists and Ophthalmologists over the years. Dr. Fracht is certainly one of the most thorough and caring of all the eye care professionals I have been to over the years. I have now been examined by Dr. Fracht 4 times and each and every time he has helped me to achieve the very best vision possible through the aid of corrective lenses. My wife and now my parents are also all very happy patients of Dr. Fracht.
Dr. Carey Fracht has been my optometrist for about fifteen years, and I am happy to recommend him to anyone needing good eyecare. I tried five optometrists/opthamologists in Beaumont during the first few years of wearing glasses, but was never completely satisfied. Although I am sure their technologists, who did most of my exams, were properly trained, I was not happy that the doctors themselves did not do the total exam. Dr. Fracht gives a very careful examination using modern equipment to do a thorough exam; when I leave his office, I feel confident that my new glasses will meet my visual needs. I also greatly appreciate the courtesy and consideration he shows me as a patient.
