I have not eaten at the Cracker Barrel in Beaumont in over a year, because the food and service had gotten so bad. My sister and I were shopping this week and decided to give it a second chance. The food was hot and excellent just as it had been when the Cracker Barrel in Bmt. opened. The young lady that served us was very polite. She was one of the best wait staff person that I have had serve me in a long time.

I have been eating at Monterey House for 25 years. The food has always been consistantly delicious, and the wait staff always seems happy to be at work. The restaurant is always packed at lunch, but it never takes longer than 10 or 15 minutes to get the food. I believe this is the oldest restaurant in Beaumont, and it is defanantly one of my favorites.
Charm and manners with the service level that of a private club. Awesome food in a beautiful house with a nice and friendly staff that doesn't seem to turn over much. Rare wines, wagyu steaks and reservations accepted. They even printed us some mementos for my Mother's birthday. Has vintage rose champagnes and lots of French wine
