Serving Orange Village and surrounding communities, UH Chagrin Highlands Health Center offers families access to a wide range of primary and specialty care physicians, laboratory services and diagnostic imaging and radiology. A fully staffed, state-of-the-art urgent care center also offers exceptional, advanced diagnosis and treatment. Also located within the facility is University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center and University Hospitals Breast Health Center. In addition, UH Chagrin Highlands Health Center also offers health education and other community outreach events.
The roots of UH date back to 1866 when Cleveland’s civic leaders created a community hospital to care for the sick and disabled. A modest house served as the forerunner for what is today known as University Hospitals.
A larger, freestanding hospital known was established to better serve Cleveland’s health care needs and advance the frontiers of medicine. A merger in 1925 between Lakeside, Maternity Hospital, and Babies and Children’s Hospital and Rainbow Hospital marked the establishment of the region’s first multi-hospital system.

The physicians are welcoming new patients and are a part of University Primary & specialty Care Practices. *Dr. Deborah Levitan Gerson, a well-respected physician with an established practice on Cleveland's east side, has brought four young women doctors with exceptional backgrounds, Jeanne Knotek, and Janette Stephenson, into her group. University Women's Care has offices in Solon, at the UHHS Chagrin Highlands Medical Center in Orange Village, and Brecksville. *Training & Education, Dr. Gerson is a graduate of the Harvard School of Medicine. Dr. Elkhairi and Dr. Stephenson have been practicing with University Hospitals Women's Care since 2001. Dr. Elkahairi is a graduate of the Ohio State University School of Medicine, and Dr. Stephenson is a graduate of Case Western Reserve U niversity school of Medicine. *Dr. Knotek joined the practice in 2003.
